This is an excellent Thai restaurant! Excellent service. It is an order-off-a-menu-on-the-wall place in a strip mall, but it was clean and the food was served quickly and was delicious. They have options of mild, medium, hot, and Thai hot. I got the pineapple fried rice with chicken. It was fantastic! Lots of chicken and 5 or 6 pieces of pineapple. Easily a meal large enough to split into two meals. I also tried the vegetable spring rolls. Perfect! Good sauce with them, too. The photo was taken after I'd eaten a few bites. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed.

Thai Savory offers a variety of excellent dishes, including pho, laab, spring rolls, curries and sweet dessert drinks. We began our meal with papaya salad and spring rolls, followed by pho and spicy eggplant as our main courses. We also ordered chicken laab and satay chicken. My personal favorites were the jelly drink and the special nava drink. The owners are truly delightful, hardworking, and they treat their customers with genuine care and kindness. I highly recommend visiting this place when you're in Lakeland.

Got Thai'd up again today. No nonsense, little strip mall restaurant. Compact with seating for about two dozen. Compact menu with all our Thai favorites. We ordered our usual Tom Ka soup and summer rolls. The Tom Ka had a nice chicken/coconut broth and was loaded with chicken, mushrooms, and pepper. The summer rolls were packed with shrimp,noodles, and fresh herbs. They came with a thick and nutty dipping sauce. The entrees are served in a to go dish if you have left overs just request a top,pop it on and go.
The Masaaman chicken served with white rice was outstanding. I tasted cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice in the sauce. Unique to most Masaaman I have had before. I got the curry noodles with chicken,one click under Thai hot. Thin rice noodles with chicken,onion,green and red pepper, and egg in a spicy curry sauce. Our plates came out before our seats were warm. Genuinely friendly and helpful staff. Very reasonable prices.If you enjoy Thai food or want to give it a try,visit Savory Thai.

A true gem of a restaurant right here! You order and pay at the counter, and the menu is clearly displayed. The restaurant is clean, the food is cooked fresh to order and comes out hot. The staff is friendly. We tried the drunken noodles with steak, the beef pho and the veggie spring rolls. Our favorite was the spring rolls followed by the drunken noodles. The restaurant provides ice water for guests, a variety of utensils and all different types of sauces and spices to accompany your dishes. Overall my family loved this place, and are already planning to go back tomorrow!

I used to go to college in Lakeland and discovered this restaurant with my girlfriend. We would eat here at least once a week it’s so good. I have now moved to Bradenton over an hour and a half away and I still take the drive back out just to get the curry noodles from this place. The food is unbelievably good. I have told multiple people that my last meal would just be the curry noodles from here. No restaurant I have ever eaten at in my life has compared to here it’s genuinely one of the best meals I’ve ever had before.

Went on for lunch and got the Tom Kha soup, fresh rolls, and Thai tea. The owner had just made the soup, so he gave it for free! He didn't know, but it was my birthday and it absolutely made my day! Everything tasted great, and the soup was the perfect amount of spicy with the coconut milk cooling the spice. It was a great lunch!

Savory Thai is a hidden Lakeland gem. The owners are a husband and wife team, David and Tang, who have incredibly tasty dishes that are very affordable.

I frequent their restaurant almost weekly and they greet me by name every time. Hello Mrs. May! That kind of customer appreciation is rare in my experience these days.

My favorite dishes are the Pad Thai, Curry Noodles, Vegetable Deluxe and Kickboxing Chicken. You should definitely try a side of the egg fried rice too!

Also, if you like chili oil you definitely need to buy a jar of Mrs. May’s homemade oil to take home and enjoy with your own meals.

This place was amazingly good! Ordered the peanut sauce curry medium spice with beef and it was so full of flavor! My friends ordered the pad see ew and loved it as well. The service was outstanding, one of the employees even brought us free crab rangoons.

They have a gluten free sauce that has no fish oil and I was able to order 2 vegan dishes(no egg and added tofu): basil fried rice and drunken noodle. Both AMAZING, and I highly recommend.

Every time I go in the staff is so welcoming and kind. On top of their warm hospitality the service is also really fast and the menu options are really good. For their drinks I especially like their dragonfruit refresher, lemonliscious style with strawberry popping boba. I have been eating here for about a year and it is one of my favorite spots in polk county. The food is always great, but what is even better is the service provided from the staff. If you haven't tried this place before i recommend the pineapple fried rice. It will have you coming back daily :)

Lily at the front counter was so welcoming and friendly and again, the food was AMAZING! A small place with just a few tables but one that does a ton of carryout. We will be back!!!

I've literally traveled the world and this place is one of the very few gems I've come across. The owners go out of their way to introduce themselves and make you feel at home. The food is cooked to order. Place is spotless. Food. The food. We ordered two vegetarian dinners and hands down they were the best entrees we have ever had at a Thai place. Exceptional preparation. Just the right amount of heat. Also had a coconut smoothie. Was the perfect accompaniment. This is a simple counter service restaurant which in my opinion allows them to focus on the food first. The down sides are the “fast-food” type setting along with the food being served in styrofoam dishes. We would definitely go back if in the area, but wouldn’t make a special trip to eat there.

Minor miscommunication, i asked for no garnish on the side they thought hold onions etc from soup, brought me bowl with zero onions in it. Other than that, good size bowl for price, adequate amount of meat. Decent flavor in broth maybe a bit salty for my liking and i prefer cinnamon notes more... but hooked spoon and proper firmness of noodles.

All in all 4 out 5 and a place to go time and again.

Try it once, trust me you'll go back! Savory Thai is one of those great family run restaurants, with 3 generations here tonight. They are busy, so everything is fresh. Yummy Pho and salads, great fresh rolls, and Pad Thai to die for. It's mainly take out, but the porch is a wonderful in the evening. You will come back!

I had to make an emergency pit stop in the parking lot to fix my trailer break controller and decided to grab something to eat. I was pleasantly surprised with the a Thai food. It was great. This was the healthiest option available in the parking lot, fairly priced, and the savory basil chicken tasted great.

One thing to note, the medium spice here tasted a little hotter than what some people may be used to. I like spicy so I was happy.

The food was fantastic and service was top notch. Our family loves supporting local businesses and it’s very easy at Savory Thai because the experience is phenomenal!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our meal here! Having been to Thailand myself, I can say that the food was very authentic and fresh. The owners are also very kind and even made a special meal for our 1.5 year old son. He devoured it. One of the best Thai restaurants we have ever been to. We will definitely be back again and again!

I have been going here once a week for quite a while. The food is delicious, consistent, and plentiful. The atmosphere is great, and the people are the best. This is the best Thai food around. You have to try it! You will not be disappointed.

My wife and stopped by today for the first time. Im not food critic, so I can’t attest to the food’s authenticity. However, I know when something tastes good, or not.

We were tired of the same old, same old. You know, typical bland, mundane food offerings from most restaurants nowadays.
So we thought we would try Savory Thai today, which is located across from Publix, in the Publix Highland City location, right next to the bicycle shop.
The interior was somewhat small, with seating for around 15 people, but it looked modern and about all, clean.
After perusal of the menu, which has a fairly large selection of varied items, we made our choice of Massaman Curry for my wife, and red curry (ordered with hot seasoning) for myself. Both came with a generous portion of white rice.

Once we started eating our first bite, we both looked at each other and our eyes lit up. This was good!
Flavors filled each dish (we tasted each other’s), and the flavor profile was new for us. We couldn’t get over the flavors, and kept talking about how much we loved it.
I ordered a side of egg-fried rice w/ carrots and peas also, but it wasn’t needed. The meal portion was plenty for us. Wifey had half left over, because she doesn’t eat large meals. Me? I ate the meal, all of it. The fried rice came home with us for later.

We talked to the owner, while there was a break from pick-up orders, and she was a very pleasant woman, who told me they aren’t a franchise, just a family run business.
Savory Thai is cooked to order, so deletions or additions can be made to menu items.

What more is there to say, wonderful food, clean establishment, and friendly, accommodating owner and staff.

Service was quick and so efficient, food was absolutely delicious, the sweet lady that owns it ( and the others that we spoke with ) was delightful as well and so helpful when we were deciding what to order. Best Thai food I’ve had, maybe ever. Everything was so good, we can’t wait to go back!

Went for lunch had the wings and massaman curry. Delicious. Wife had stir fry veggies with seafood. If you like Thai, go here!

Love coming here for lunch! So delicious! Large servings, so I always have some for later 🙂 Everyone is so friendly and helpful! If you are unsure what to try, drunken noodles are so yummy! Thai tea is my favorite but I have tried other drinks here that were just as great! The crab cheese crunch is a great appetizer!

I went with my girlfriend . The food was fresh ,full of flavor and cooked to our liking. We ordered the peppered steak, red curry , spring rolls and the savory wings. We will return .

Delicious food at a fair price I got the Massasam curry, which was fantastic. Good portions too. Great family run establishment who were all friendly.

We had been hearing of this new place on Facebook and elsewhere and was finally able to stop by for dinner. It was PHENOMENAL.

We first started with the crab cheese crunches and the vegetable spring rolls. They were both crispy and fresh with great flavors. The thin, clear noodles in the spring rolls were so good.

I had the Pad Thai with shrimp and it was fantastic. I just went mild on the spiciness because I can't do too much spice, but I imagine it's even better at the spicier levels.

My wife had the Kickboxing chicken. The chicken was thick, white meat chicken that was so good and it came with delicious white rice and the sweet and sour sauce that came with it was scrumptious.

We can't wait to go back!

This place is the right kind of spicy! Every dish was excellent. Just a word of warning: if you ask for a Laos style papaya salad, it's Laos style (shrimp paste), not the Isaan style common at Thai restaurants in the US. We loved it, but it's a strong flavor and it's best to know what you're getting yourself in to ahead of time.

The drunken noodles were super tasty. The laab lit me on fire.

"Savory" is an accurate name.
