This is without a doubt one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the Bay Area. Every dish is packed with flavor. They have standard Thai dishes but also some interesting items like the fried chicken which I get every time. Highly recommend, the only downside is it is small so expect a bit of a wait.
If you’re a fan of Thai cuisine and can make it to the restaurant by 7:30 PM PST, I’d definitely recommend checking it out! The staff can be a little eager about sticking to the schedule, but overall, it’s such a delightful place to dine. They’ve even expanded recently, just in time for the holiday season!
You’ll find some fantastic soups and a great variety of dishes to choose from. If they could switch from aluminum soup dishes and give guests the chance to savor their meals until 9:30 PM PST, I’d happily call it a five-star experience! Enjoy your meal!
My wife and I stopped by for lunch since we were in town. We chose this place based on other Google reviews. We ordered the egg plant, beef salad, and drunken noodles. Friendly staff, our order was taken in a timely manner. The food came out fast and was definitely on point for Thai dishes. They were very generous with their portions. Would definitely be returning if we're around the area again. The only downside to me was they place was just a little too small. But nice atmosphere to grab a bite.
While in town for work I came here based on reviews and found a nice cozy place with delicious food and friendly staff. I ordered the chicken satay, som tom, and khao soi. The chicken satay and som tom was good but the khao soi really stood out for me. My only wish was if I knew there was a Thai-spicy level I would have ordered it that way. The noodles, the broth, the chicken, everything about it was great. Definitely on my list of places to go if I'm in town again.
One of my new fav thai spots in the area! yay!!
Alright, let's get down to business.
Parking: street, or there's a small lot in the plaza behind.
Inside: really cute, but very small, so tables are limited. They have a couple small tables outside as well. I see a lot of to go orders so we know the food is good!!
The taste buds want:
Fried Chicken Pad Thai, ok I never knew I needed this in my life. It is sooo good and sooo fresh! highly recommend.
Roti appetizer: honestly for the money I think it's REALLLY small. Very greasy too, curry dip is good. The flavors are good but you get more of your money's worth with other items
Khao Sao: Overall flavors are good, noodles cooked correctly. My only wish was that the beef was a little more tender.
Orange Wheat beer: light and refreshing. Hints of orange come in the aftertaste.
Pineapple fried rice: the wok seasoning you can taste that perfect smokiness. Definitely a fav for me
Pad Kee Mao: Also another great dish, noodles always cooked correctly.
I really should stop writing reviews around lunch, always makes me so hungry!!
Lunch here with my mom recently. Staff was nice and the food was good. Would definitely go again.
Had reservations for 7. Still had to eat outside!
Food was good and fairly quick to come to the table.
Very small restaurant & they are expanding but still very small, probably 5-6 tables with the expansion. The main dining area only has 2 tables and a bar style one but to put takeouts & 2 more outside. I ordered the pla tod, very good but portion was stingy. It has 4 pieces of fried fish, a scoop of rice & some veg. I got about 7 pieces of green beans & the rest was sautéed onion & it was a lot, not a good balance. The fish was good due to the sauce, otherwise it had no flavor. I waited 50 mins for that order since they focused on getting a big office order out and 3 more smaller ones. I dont like the fact that they ignored my 1 dish to get bigger orders out even when i was there 1st. There were 2 guys who came in with me, dining in, and they finished their lunch 10 mins before I got mine. Same with the couple who came in 40 mins after I ordered, and they got their food 1st. WTH. I won't come back ever again. Should've gone to the Quickly right across.
Food was terrible, no flavor no seasonings no color just tasted like water. No effort at all involved in the recipes not your typical Thai cuisine
I've been once so far at the end of main Street small & quaint spot. Delicious & great service.💯
Good quick service.

Expensive for the qty of food they provide
Time Thai Kitchen is an excellent Thai restaurant, located on 929 Main St. Pleasanton, not too far from Bernal Avenue and Foot Hill DRIVE, where we were staying. I wanted to offer a treat to my two grand daughters. They gladly preferred to go to Time Thai. We were the family of five, three adults & two children. Ordered String Beans w vege and Tofu medium for appetizers. Main course was Panang Curry w vege & Tofu mild, Red Curry w vege & Tofu medium, Spicy Basil Fried Rice w vege & Tofu, Chicken Satay, and two Roti. We were given order 61. Had to wait a little and food came in. I was amazed to taste such a good and tasty Thai food. Those fluffy & crunchy Roti are worth trying. It was week day. Restaurant was not too busy. Also, it was not too far from where I was staying. Very relaxing & we all had very good time. I won't mind visiting the place again. Please keep up the good work. Thanks.
Very bad service, the server and the cook was so rude. And my younger son went to restroom which was outside the restaurant. When he returned back and knocking the door to come inside the server ignored to let him inside. The food is disgusting. I didn’t pay the tip bcoz of the worst service and food. The server started talking in foreign language that no tip. How can one expect to get tip without a good service.
Everything was tasty but I don’t appreciate finding short black hair in my sticky rice mango dessert.:(
Love both locations of Time Thai. I always get the green or pumpkin curries, and the basil fried rice is to die for!
A small cozy place with friendly staff and good food. I ordered online from the Livermore branch by mistake. I realized it only when i went to pick up my order. They were kind enough to get my order from Livermore cancelled and reorder from Pleasanton though the food was already prepared by Livermore branch. They did all this by themselves without asking.
NEVER going back.
I’ve been a customer here for over 2 years now. We dine-in and also order delivery. Today, I made a date to meet up with a friend of mine who I had not seen in over a year and I chose this place because the food is good. I got there exactly 11:35 and the female server working asked me “how many?” I nicely said “2 and I’m sorry, my friend will be here in 5 minutes”. She just looked at me. I was waiting at the table looking at the menu and the same female server who sat me down asked me “are you gonna order anything“ I said “I’ll take a water for now but she’s on her way”- again I apologized (not that I need to apologize for waiting). The gentleman seated at the table right next to me looked at me with lifted eyebrows and said “that’s rude”. The female server came to me AGAIN and said “well you have to get up now because I have a bigger party that needs to sit”. I was flabbergasted and said “I can’t RUSH my friend in traffic, she’s literally down the street en route. Why did you seat me then? If you wanted a bigger party to take the tables you shouldn’t have sat me down. I’m so shocked right now”. She didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience and rude behavior. So basically, she didn’t want me seated for 5 minutes waiting bc it was just a two-top as opposed to a larger group?? As I left, my friend parked and I told her the story. She was shocked bc it really upset me. We went to Don Chepe next door (delicious Mexican food). It was today 8/28 @11:35am.

This place is authentic and delicious. I’m super picky about my Thai food since I lived there for two years, and I don’t like the watered down, farang style Thai food you often find here. The service here was fast and friendly, the decor is cute, and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the spicy fried fish. It’s like the traditional Thai pud pet pla dūk, but with bass instead of catfish. Fish is cooked perfectly, no bones, sauce is spicy, and crispy fried basil on top makes it amazing!
Small restaurant with about 6 tables indoors and 2 outdoors. For appetizer we got the Time Thai fried chicken which was very good but went extremely quick between 5 people. The Khao Soi with chicken was really good, and a large portion. The Shrimp Pad Kee Mao and Pad Thai lacked flavor and was very disappointing. The Yellow Curry was small and flavor was average.
Khao soi not enough curry taste, taste too sweet, and coconut good need to balance the taste will be good taste. Pad see wee portion too small for the price,
Small place but nice.. food is delicious
Parking is a nightmare at lunch time
Over all experience the best I encourage everyone to come try the thai red curry is the bomb brown rice or white rice the vegan papaya salad is to die for .....come try you owe that to your self
Amazing authentic and delicious Thai food and excellent service. Patio is available for dining outside with pup.
Fried chicken is excellent! Crispy outside and tender inside. Combine with beer that's your happy hour. Service is ok and the place is rather small so getting a table takes time. Parking is the biggest issue, so be there earlier to find parking.
Food was good and they have some unique items like their chicken sandwich which is very good. Service is overwhelmed by the popularity of the place at certain times like when we came.
Too small of a restaurant but the foods are amazing! They are expanding soon!
Just an average Thai restaurant ...
Simplicity worth 4 stars! Food is very good, light, not too greasy like the other Thai in town. Must have are the yellow curry, samosas, and pineapple rice.
Ordered food to go. I ordered the BECK mild and my tongue is on fire. Couldn't eat the rest. Be careful of spice level, not true to order.
Food was okie. The Pat Sew Ye was salty...and the food got cold easily because they had the doors open for ventilation.
There was no customer service whatsoever. One of my friend got there early, seated her, and 5 minutes after being seated, they had told her that if she doesn't order anything they will have to ask her to give up the seat for another party instead. Once my sibling and I arrived, throughout our time there, whenever we stopped eating for a break, servers kept asking if we needed boxes. Not long after asking, they handed us the check. And had taken whatever credit card was visible to them to swipe for the payment. Disrespectful, unprofessional, and rude!
Overall, the experience was one of the worst. Not worth trying with that kind of service.
Small Thai Kitchen, but the Curry dishes taste great, plus with reasonable price.
this is a small, quaint, cute place for lunch. My first time there. I am always looking for a great egg plant and chicken. I found an eggplant plate. However, if you want to add chicken, you need to pay extra and for the rice the eggplant was a bit over cooked for my taste, but it had flavorful taste. I prefer my eggplant cut small this was cut medium size. My friends had the Pad Thai Noodles. I tasted those and it was much better than my plate I would go again. Service was good. People are friendly at accounts for a lot.
Very good food in an informal atmosphere
I think I found my newest favorite spot in town
One of the best Thai I’ve ever had. Excellent food.
The Pad Thai fried chicken was excellent, but the fried chicken wings were just average. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. I hadn't finished my meal when the server brought the bill, took away my sauce, and hurried us to leave. I understand there were people waiting, but I was not sitting around and chatting; I was still eating my dinner. Please take this feedback into consideration.
Food is so good and has awesome services. I will be back.

Great fried chicken with noodles. Sauce is divine.
Very good delicious food and Good service, recommend go there sometimes.
I had the curry beef noodle soup. I felt it the spicy level was perfect. Only knock on this place is the extreme limited seating. You can probably fit 25 people in that whole place.
Food was great, service was really good. The place is very small but super busy so it felt like we were rushed out in order for them to take on new customers
Never disappointed. The best thai food!
Decent quality food. Seats are limited, so they can only handle around 5 tables at a time. And wait time could be 1 hour
Family was in Pleasanton over the warm weekend for an appt. Came across this Thai place when we did a Google map search of nearby restaurants. We sat outside and ordered the Roti & curry sauce appetizer, Pad Thai w/fried chicken, spicy Basil fried rice w/chicken, Mango salad, and a couple of Thai ice teas. All was wonderful combined with fast friendly service! Will not hesitate to return!
Great taste but only 2 tiny tofu pieces in Vege Pad Kee Mao.
Food was so so, not fantastic.
UPDATE: I love their Khao Soi noodles. It reminds me of the famous noodles I had in Chiang Mai. So rich and full of flavor, it tastes like curry, but it's a soup. Best of both worlds!
Oh and their level 4 can get quite spicy depending on the day lol. The last time I ordered a 4 my face turned bright red from internal combustion 🥵
It's a tiny restaurant with parking in the back and an entrance you can access from the lot. Many people order takeout here but the fried chicken is something you must have on site for it's full deliciousness 🤤
-----
The fried chicken is a must try! Their Thai dishes are really good too. I loved their pad Thai fried chicken, panang curry, and tom kha soup. The larb was okay. You can specify spice level from 1-5. I tried level 4 and it was spicy but not to the point of sweating 🔥
I have been visiting my daughter & g-children in Pleasonton. I have come from Columbia, Missouri. My son in law & family decided to take me to a Thai restaurant. Time Thai Kitchen is a small & congested place but the food is excellent. We ordered Panang & red curry w veggie & tofu, spicy basil fried rice with veggie & tofu, string beans, & satay chicken. Loved the tasty food. Service was quick with plenty smiles. I will recommend to any body who loves the tasty food. Keep up the good work guys.n
Great place! Delicious authentic Thai food and very friendly staff. 5⭐️ for the food. The atmosphere could be better, but the place is
What a gem of a spot. Lovely little restaurant, not very big inside but their food is amazing. The curries, basil fried rice and Khao soi were simply too delicious!!!
Parking is in the back of the restaurant and because of limited seating inside, it might take some time to get seated.
Be sure to try Khao soi which is a rare find at Thai restaurants!!!
Tried red thai curry, iced coffee and stir fried vegetables with chicken. It tasted good.
Must-go restaurant.
DELICIOUS fried chicken and curry noodles! Perfect amount of spice and explosive rich flavors plus kind customer service. Great outdoor patio seating during Covid. If they were in SF, we are sure there would a long line out the door to eat. Wish we lived closer so we could eat there every day. We would seriously love to help open up a “2 Time Thai” in Castro Valley. Seriously!!
The best Thai food in Trivalley period.
Everything was so amazing except the duck curry. The duck meat tasted smoked and sliced thinly like lunch meat.
Definitely recommend the beck, fried chicken pad thai, and the crab fried rice!
Very small place that you have to queue for but one of the best Thai food I've eaten. The flavors are genuine and amazing. Will definitely return!
We got roti, crab bomb, pork ribs, Thai iced tea. None of the dishes had any salt in them. Food wasn’t medium spicy as well. Everything was bland. And in the middle of us eating, the lady said she had to move the table to make space and we had to stop eating for a minute. That was not very professional. Overall, for the experience and the taste, it was overpriced.
Great modern Thai food
Their fried chicken fried rice is yum. Drunken noodles, panang curry and basil fried rice were all equally delicious 🤤
Best Thai food for vegetarians in the area 😋
Pretty good Thai food
I ordered dinner to-go for the first time. Unfortunately when I got home I noticed the portions are HALF of what you typically get in other Thai restaurants locally. I wish I had opened the package there - this don’t be enough for our family. If you notice in the pictures, the Thai curry is half the size of the container that you usually get an other restaurants. And I ordered the string bean chicken, and it literally has five pieces of chicken in it. So disappointed. Thought I would try out a new business, but highly highly disappointed.
I would need to spend twice as much to get the same amount of food that I typically get from other places
One of our favorite Thai places in the East Bay. It’s an unpretentious, hole in the wall restaurant that has consistently exceeded our expectations. The food is delicious, prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous. Will continue to eat at Time Thai.
Doesn't really care about customers. Online says it closes at 9. I arrive at 840 and the woman says the sign on the door says closed. I guess I could read the sign on the door as I was leaving my house. What a hassle. Too much stupidity in this world frankly.
Tried this place based on the reviews. Food was just average. The stir fried vegetarian dishes were not spicy at all.
Really Really good Food! 👍 I had the Thai fried rice, the udon noodles and yellow curry all vegetables options for all three, and it was excellent! Every thing was cooked perfectly! And flavors were spot on delicious! I will be coming back often!
No frills Thai in the tri-valley.
Awesome selection of classic Thai street food.
And the option to request dishes to be “Thai spicy”.
I wished I could give a 10 star, every time I took a bite I kept saying mmmmmm …the flavors are incredible!!!!
Though the place is small but the food was great and very nice staff. Liked pad thai and panang curry .. BTW, I am veggie and had enough choices.
On weekend, you may have to wait little bit so try to reserve if possible.
Super delicious Thai food, probably the best in the bay area. Seating is limited but the waiting time is justified by the food. Moreover, the suggested modificatios are properly executed. Will definitely visit again if around this area.
Our new favorite Thai restaurant
Yum!!! We just had take out
It was warm ,crispy and delicious.
Big portions , we ate every bite !
Will be back, the only downside is finding a parking spot.
无意中发现的宝藏店铺 点了三样没有一样踩雷 很值得推荐 排队等候的时间有点久 生意太好了
I like the wooden touch of this place. It was so amazing and the food was absolutely delicious.
My favorite spot for Thai ice tea
Omg K I L L E R mf thai food!!! So glad to find another fave spot! The dudes who work there r hella fine too
Cozy little restaurant. Ordered the fried egg rolls, pad kee mao (med spicy) w/fried chicken & eggplant chicken. Everything was fresh & tasty. The flavors are addictive!
Returning today for: larb, khai soi, & the BECK.
Delicious food. Finally a good Thai restaurant in east bay.
It’s my first time here and we tried their Pad Thai, green curry with rice and Samosas. Every dish is cooked perfectly and delicious with a decent size. Their Pad Thai is especially remarkable as the noodles are soaked with flavor and not too dry. In my mind one Thai restaurant in Washington DC holds the standard for Pad Thai and I’m glad that the chef from this Pleasanton restaurant proved me wrong.
They seemed a bit short staffed given the big crowd but the waiter was able to keep his smile all the time, and got us seated faster than expected. Very pleasant and belly-filling experience.
Fantastic food seriously and really cute restaurant!!! Highly reccomend
I really loved the thai taste, no doubt in that. The reason for 4 star is for quantity. I felt quantity of food is very less even though its $$. I know $$ is not for quantity, but still when compared to other good thai restaurants this quantity is very less ! If they can consider it, it ud b great !!
Easily one of the best of many Thai restaurants I've been to
Easily best spot in town
Really nice staff, the food was excellent!
Awesome food! Super cosy inside but not a lot of tables! Tones of gluten free options on their menu (Pad Thai, crab rice, Thai fried rice)! Just really good Thai food!
Delicious and spicy Thai food! Everything was on point.
All the food is absolutely delicious and they have a great selection!
Pad Thai Fried Chicken is unbelievable!!
Food was good, but service was awful. Took over an hour just to get a starter soup. And then, after one hour and twenty minutes, we FINALLY got our food, and it was wrong. The table next to us were having similar problems. Won’t be going back there.
Delicious Thai food with great flavor at great prices. Very healthy options too.
The food was delicious! Definitely going back.
Excellent seasoning and good amount
Excellent, excellent! Great food, reasonable priced with very generous portions. Very fast, friendly, and efficient waitress, pleasant atmosphere, and fine Thai cuisine. Come early, it fills up fast. Try the B.E.C.K., and the Eggplant dish they're delicious!
The green curry was wonderful.
I can't remember if I've reviewed this restaurant before or not 🤔, but it's delicious! My husband and I first came here to meet another couple on their date night. They come here very often. Ever since, we've even come here on our own 😄! The service is prompt, and the food is always served freshly made with wonderful flavors.
Today, we had the chicken wings, tom kha soup, chicken pad thai, and garlic vegetables with chicken. The chicken is crunchy and full of flavor. The spices are fantastic, and they come with a sweet and spicy sauce. The other dishes were delicious, too, and as I said, the service is great.
We come from a neighboring city because this is the best Thai food around. Our friends who introduced us to this tasty place drive from Hayward. It's just that good.
So so samosa deliciousness! I had savory, sweet and a little bit spicy (just the right amount) green curry with fried tofu and my friend has a nice pad thai, but the highlight were these awesome crispy potato samosas for apps. Friendly staff and nice cozy space made this a fun casual dining experience.
Great food and friendly staff! The duck curry and the crab curry bomb are a must-try!
Great food. Unique fusion of Thai with fried chicken options. Ribs were great. Pad Thai was tasty. Fried chicken is piping hit, but nice crispy texture and flavor. Prices are reasonable. Not the absolute best Thai I've ever had in the US (that award still sits with Channon Thai in Salt Lake City), but this place is pretty good.
Excellent food
Awesome Pho!
One of the best Thai restaurants in the area. Good service as well.
We ordered takeout from Time Thai, and really enjoyed the food. We had the Pad Thai Fried Chicken, Pad See Ew, and Fried Calamari appetizer. All 3 were very good, particular the Pad Thai Fried Chicken. It was unusual to combine Pad Thai with fried chicken, but both components were delicious. We haven't eaten in the restaurant before, but the staff seemed friendly and the interior looked cozy.
One of my new fav thai spots in the area! yay!!

The best Thai dishes in the area. If you're a spicy lover, I dare you to try them, especially for Poh-Tek. It is my favorite one here. Two thumbs aren't enough for the rating of food. I might need ten thumbs to rate for the deliciousness of all food here. Never disappointed as always!!
