I've been coming here since I discovered this place back in 2021. It's by far one of my favorite Thai food places. When you get take out you get a generous portion and the flavor is so good.

Medium spice per my mom and boyfriend is pretty spicy for them and they have a higher tolerance for spice so pick the level you feel you can handle to try. Or get one level below what you normally like in case it's super spicy.

They close online orders on Sunday and Mondays due to insufficient staff but it states that when you try to order.

I've eaten here in person too and the staff is super nice and helpful. Go support them ! (:

This is my go to Thai restaurant. My favorite dish is the lunch special "Red Curry Prawn". I like the prawns simmered in coconut milk with red curry, and pineapples, tomatoes, bamboo shoots, peas, bell peppers, Thai basil. The red curry with coconut milk has a hint of sweetness, which I like it very much. By the way, you can choose the spicy level based on your preference (default spicy is medium). I like the Lunch Special version because it also comes with salad, fried spring roll and sour soup.

He had taken some customizations that we ordered but none of the customizations were accommodated. The taste of the food wasn't good too. I am not happy with this restaurant. Will not go ever again.

We were offered an apology by the owner but didn’t swap the food for the order that we made. Then there were no napkins and spoons offered and when asked was mocked by the service person. I then complained to the owner cum manager cum cook and all offered again was an apology. And gave us a cold drink as an apology that we promptly denied to take.
We left the food as is and paid the money and came back. I said you lost a customer today and he said “thank you” .

So please Beware when you go here .

I got 80% noodle and just 20% of protein and veggies. I ordered food from this restaurant for the first time and I am very disappointed. Probably, I will not going to visit/order food again.

I asked for Veg Pad thai it was way too soggy. The veggies were drenched it oil and over all it tasted nothkng like pad thai. I couldn't eat it and went to counter to pay they said we have a new chef and cannot do anything about it other than charging me for it.😂

OWNER INTENTIONALLY UNDERSTAFFS!!

I’ve been coming to this place on and off for five years, and unfortunately, the service has consistently been terrible. The staff are often extremely rude and slow, which makes every visit an unpleasant experience. I spoke to a server during my most recent visit, and he seemed completely exhausted. It’s no surprise, given how the owner appears to treat both customers and staff.

The owner’s behavior seems to be at the root of the problem. It’s clear that nothing has improved over the years, and it’s deeply concerning that employees are being mistreated. Something needs to change. It might be time to protest and ensure the owner is held accountable for how poorly they manage both their staff and customers. Until things improve, I can’t recommend this place to anyone.

I had a very bad experience with my recent online order with Simply Thai. After I came home, found one of the items is missing, and I tried to call the restaurant but they picked up and put me on hold for about 10 minutes without even say anything. Trying after multiple times, they didn't even care to realize their mistake, and ask me to drive all the way back to pick up the missing item which I didn't want to do. There is no way on their website to get a refund as well. Worst ever customer service!!!!

Gosh! Just because this place has been here for a while doesn’t mean this is good. We went for business lunch , the service was rude , the food - they couldn’t make simple roll, we ordered their roasted duck , beef and egg plant - all of them was way below normal Thai place. If you have a choice then pls go to another Thai place.

Be careful when you order Pad Thai from Simply thai. I got a good amount of plastics cut in shape of noodles. My kid could have choked eating it. Thank God he complained and I checked. Very disappointed with the ugly means of earning money. Reduce the quantity if needed, but DO NOT MIX PLASTIC in food for God’s sake.

Service is Horrible…. so horrible i paid for my coke and got up and left. after i started ordering and the waitress started to make fun of my order and commented like wow more and then when i asked for spicy she would say how spicy and I had to ask twice. which she got frustrated about. so I walked down to Craby Craby was Greeted seated and fed with no attitude. Second meal here in 2 nights while working a gig in Fremont. The prawn Pad Thai last night was excellent, tonight's panang chicken curry was just as good. Fresh ingredients make a big dif. Recommend!

The food was ok but they charge a premium price and 2 of the items were placed in a small soup container. Had 4 items all together and $70

Was a great find, not bad, reasonably priced, and good food

Food tasted ok but they are very stingy with portions and shrimp apparently. I recieved only 5 shrimp in my entire order that had no other meat in it...ridiculous! No return for me!

The food had no taste at all, it had just liters of oil in it. No flavors or salt or any taste, such a bland food have never tasted before. Please do not waste your $$$ and ⏰. Highly disappointed.
Just drive a little further to Fremont and you have very good Thai restaurant.

I had chicken fried rice for togo, may be it’s worst fried rice I ever ate. It was very very bland. Their were very less chicken pieces, no onions, no veggies. It was bad experience.

Plenty of vegetarian options and quick takeout or done in service. Soup, rice and tofu dish are very delicious.

Update: 04/02/22 - their front desk person has changed and messed up our order. Had to wait extra 20+ mins to get our missing items.

I've been coming here for several years for their crab fried rice it use to be 🔥🔥 full of crab and flavor . However today I went for lunch and was terribly disappointed it was full of flavor but crab barely none. I had to turn on my flashlight to look for it. If I hadn't been on lunch at work I would have definitely taken it back. This was my 1st time coming since they reopened but if this is the service I will not be back. For 17.00 I expect MORE!!2

Fried rice was mediocre, they used frozen veggies. My wife liked her red curry.
Service is good.

1) Put their phone off the hook so you can almost never order a pickup
2) Website almost always says online ordering is not available due to staff shortage
3) Dine in is often tricky as they close the place for the day without any notice so you drive up and it can be shut

Not sure how a business can operate in that way but clearly not a dependable eatery. Think their biggest issue lack of adequate kitchen staff and so everything is constrained and unpredictable.

Pineapple fried rice, & a jumbo prawn dish in a sweet Thai chili paste. Both were delicious and there was plenty of food. Prices were decent, cheaper than some other places.

The pad Thai was okay, but not my favorite.

I'll probably be back for takeout. Dining in is okay, but not that enjoyable especially without AC.

I had pad ke maw & tamarind chicken from here. Ambience was good. Neat place. Food was tasty. The only thing that I didn't like about was waiting for to go box, waiting for check and waiting for the card back. I did a lot of waiting that day !

Went for a quick lunch on a weekday. The place was completely full but the staff was able to take the order quickly and deliver the delicious food promptly as well. Went for the spicy vegetable fried rice and drunken noodles.

You can tell that they have been challenged by the lack of staff post-pandemic. But, even with a small staff, we never felt ignored. Our food was amazing! The staff friendly, and attentive.

For two dishes the bill was 31$ which is way too high for a takeout. There was no itemized bill though. Dont get fooled by the menu prices shown in the photos.

Honestly terrible service and the food isn't that great, pretty standard Thai food. I feel bad because the server was desperately overwhelmed with folks, I'm sure she was doing her best, but regardless it ended up being horrible service. Waitress would just drop off food without any comment, barely acknowledged our existence which made it really uncomfortable. Also I know spice, I eat Thai food all the time. We didn't specify a level, just went with default. It was spicy past the point of enjoyment.

The food was great. The lady serving us food was terrible though. She literally ran behind me all the way up to my car and forced me to give her a better tip. She literally was shouting the entire way while she was running up to my car. Completely unprofessional.

The food was very good. When I told them I'm a vegetarian they politely agreed to redo the fried rice without Oyster Sauce.

Terribly long waiting time, they told us 25 minutes on the phone and we waited in the restaurant for 90 minutes total before we were told they lost our order.

Do not take a chance on this place!

Food if not bad. Customer service is worse than Terrible. Waited for Check for 25 mins on my table, had to get up go to counter and waited for 5 mins. Then I finally got the check and on Tipping $0 (obviously I won't tip for this experience) she forced me to tip her and on denying, she gave a curseful look.

Great food! The wings were flavorful and the mussamum beef was extremely tender.

Online ordering so easy. Pickup easy. The ladies are always smiling and kind even when they are busy. I love how I can order and pay online and my bag is waiting when I get there.

Great Thai food is hard to come by. This place I rediscovered during the virus. Takeout service has been great. The chicken pra ram is too die for, their brown(red)rice perfection, and finally, a good green papaya salad. I don't know what changed from years ago, as it was good, I just know, bow it is fabulous!

Simply Thai has been a good Thai option for us. Usually we opt for take out on the weekends and the food is really fresh and nice, but on week days it's either a different chef or its made from produce which isn't the freshest!!
