Bright, bare-bones local eatery serving traditional Thai cooking & noodle dishes for cash only.
I had an amazing dining experience at this Thai restaurant! I ordered the Pineapple Tofu Fried Rice, and it was absolutely delicious – the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. I also tried the Spicy Curry Catfish, which was packed with flavor and had just the right amount of heat. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and tasted so fresh!
The service was outstanding as well – the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes. Highly recommend this spot for authentic Thai food and great hospitality!
The best genuine Thai taste I get here. They are master on Thai flavor.
I love their dishes, the way it comes out the taste it’s just 10 out of 10 love love the food.
There food is soo good yummm. I have tried so many other thai restaurants in Thai town but there food is the best.
Only once I had bad taste right after Covid, I guess the chef was different and then I stopped ordering.
Since 2023 again I started visiting and found out their food is back on track. Absolutely Amazing Thai taste. Love love love their food. I will continue supporting this business as long as they make me happy with the best Thai taste food
So again the wifey had been here when she used to work in the area and decided to bring me and our daughter here after so many years.
We love Thai food and in Thai Town of Los Angeles you will find the most authentic Thai cuisine around.
I always try a new Thai Restaurant's Pad Thai because if they do an amazing job with that, then you know the rest of the food will be just as awesome and delicious.
And sure enough they do an awesome and delicious Pad Thai with a healthy serving of tamarind sauce in the mix.
I tried their crispy pork as a protein option and I didn't go wrong with my choice. I have been to many Thai restaurants including 'Spa Thai' in Utah State which had a similar comparison with their food. That crispy pork game was beyond on point, I couldn't believe my taste buds. That took my Pad Thai experience to another level. I've not ever had it like that!
My wife got their Pad Kee Mow, side order of their chicken wings, and daughter got their yellow curry with chicken.
Everything was super delicious and very authentic. We all loved our meals and I definitely want to come back here to get more items on the menu.
The restaurant was clean, organized, professional & friendly service.
I am very happy that my wife brought me here!
Pa Ord Noodle gets a 5 ⭐ s up, down, & all around!
If you want delicious and authentic Thai food, then come in here and taste their food, you won't be disappointed.
Came here for a low-key dinner the other night and it's a no-frills eatery with great service - fast, delicious, and friendly staff. We ordered the Chinese broccoli with crispy pork, pad see ew with beef, panang curry with chicken, crispy rice salad, and crab meat fried rice. I'd say I enjoyed just about everything though the pad see ew and panang curry were two of my favorites. The flavors are wonderful and come at a good level of spice for mild-to-medium with additional condiments at the table to spice things up - pun intended. There were a ton of other items on the menu I was curious about but we were stuffed! I'd say this was a good amount of food for three people but maybe a littleee too much so plan accordingly - all that to say, generous portion sizes!
The boat noodles and pad kra pao with crispy pork were delicious. the broth for the noodles was so rich and hearty, with a very savory beef flavor. we got it with the thin rice noodle but i think ticket noodles might be matter to absorb all that delicious broth.
the pad kra pao was excellent. very tasty and umami. on the sweeter side but that’s because we got it mild. food came out so quick too 10/10 experience overall
If you ever wanna eat good Thai food go here. The food here is really amazing, they cook so well, taste the same as when I went to Thailand and try some food there, fast service, the only problem is the space, it’s a-little small so we Always have to wait outside, it Always pack, they should renovate the restaurant bigger, and it so hard to find parking space as well. But worth the wait, the food is crazy good.

I think I might get heartburn from how spicy the food is. Very authentic! If you can’t handle the spice, this may not be for you but it was very good for me. I got the Tom yum noodle soup original, drunken noodle, pad se ew, and khao soi. Great all around. The fried tofu was really crispy and good. The noodles are all very flavorful and aromatic and have a good chew. Good portion for price. I personally love the Tom yum soup; clear, sour, and hot. The staff were relatively tentative and friendly. Just make sure you don’t go in past 9:30, they close their kitchen pretty early.
Lovely noodles and always a peasant meal here. Thai town adjacent to Hollywood. Enjoy
Average Thai noodle shop. My food was freshly cooked but had a taste of stale oil. They have bunch of sauces on the table which is really great.
Amazing Thai food! The Drunken Noodles are perfectly balanced with plenty of vegetables. The pineapple fried rice is fantastic as well. If you need a pick-me-up, try the Thai iced coffee. You won't be disappointed!
The service wasn't worth the tip I paid.

I've been to this place a few times before. It's literally right down the street from where I live but only for take out. I usually get the Is crap fried rice, This time, I ordered the seafood fried rice... And I can actually say that I never had such an awesome experience on a new dish.Definitely need to try
Not much in terms of ambiance, but the Thai food here seems authentic and delicious.
Winter 2024 review: still good.
Summer 2023 review: Great!
Small parking lot the food was just like Thailand
Pad thai is my favorite one 😋
The food was great. I ordered the beef boat noodle and the server ask me how spicy? (This made my night as most american thai places usually dont ask for spice levels). Order came in a timely manner.
The atmosphere was very thai. It had allot of thai ornaments and other thai centric interior. The menu had thai with english translation below.
Thankful they were open Thanksgiving night, but my mom (who is Thai) was ultimately a bit disappointed. She had high expectations but said the food came out too sweet, too catered to Western taste. Personally I thought it was yummy but if you’re looking for something really authentic this may not be the place. The young waitress is really sweet though!
“Rancid pork, diarrhea, more than enough.”
This place is a total hidden gem in Thai Town! Their pa ord noodle soup is seriously next level. The broth is so flavorful, and the noodles are cooked perfectly. I also love that they give you a generous portion of meat and vegetables. Definitely going back for more soon! 😋🍜🍲
The Tom Yum Soup was so good that I’m sitting here two hours after eating and I want to go back and get another bowl. Incredible.
This delicious food is very pleasant. Recommended to this store if visiting La
good tasty nice place to chill with friend a bit busy on lunch hard to find parking but will be great with carpool
Boat noodles is the best in LA
Authentic Thai food and great service. Love the Pad Thai shrimp. Will definitely go back. 👍😋❤️
Good food all the time
Really good Thai food. Would go back
Amazing boat noodles and Tom yum noodles. So fresh and the ingredients are plentiful! The boat noodles are fragrant and the mild options were perfect for us spiciness level wise! The Thai tea was strong brew. Enjoyed the fresh papaya salad! A must order and visit! Affordable pricing.

Soup pho is nice. Good price. They always close.
The most amazing noodles ever

Staff here were so friendly and food was delicious!!! We got the pad see ew + papaya salad + eggplant and it was yummy!!
The food is delicious here however, I usually end up with a headache the next day. It's too much salt or msg.
This is a must visit place in Thai Town when you are around. In case you DI’s not k is this, the best Thai food outside Thailand is in LA and this is where it is.
Known for the noodles amongst Thai immigrants, as well as locals. The soup and the taste is authentic and you can never go wrong by listening to their recommendations.
The only drawback is the wait and the difficulty of limited parking that is common in LA. But we got lucky and always found a spot even though it was really small.
I ordered the curry noodles with chicken, and the chicken thigh was like 30-second short of cooking. When I got the last piece, it was significantly colder inside. I wasn’t looking for a new order as it was already the last bite. I have informed the owner and they’re aware of this. Hopefully I am the last one.
Try Itd you will come back again and again like I have.
The food is OK.
The restaurant was a little small, and there was no parking. It looked like those local businesses sharing parking and like to put signs on like reservation parking.
However, even though parking was difficult but those food, OMG, 🔥 fire. I got Yen ta fo noodles and WOW, recalled Thailand. My sisters got boat noodles, and it was incredibly delicious 😋.
The papaya was amazing, plus the fried rice with chicken was yummy. Those two Thai tea are delicious 😋, perfect for the weather.
Crispy pork was dried and burnt. But I ate it. It is just a small little restaurant. Nothing more, nothing less.
I came to this place on a Thursday afternoon and let me tell you: I am a huge enthusiast of Thai food but it gets harder and harder by the day to pick up one spot that is above all of the others. This place is a strong contender for that first place, though: it has it all, reasonable prices, great food, amazing service and chill ambiance. The server was a woman with short hair and glasses who truly went above and beyond for us (I should have asked for her name but I forgot). Everything, including non-traditional items like fried shrimp cake was just cooked to perfection. It all came out quickly and piping hot. Parking was fantastic too. You can even street park by the 99 cents store and walk a little bit. Highly-recommended place!
울동네 맛집
The food was awesome. Original dishes I had never experienced. The mild pho was very spicy for mild. Absolutely delicious though, I have weird stomach issues unfortunately that make it difficult for me to do spice but that’s not on them! Our service was very quick and nice. The restaurant looked very clean. Thank you!
Authentic Thai Food can be found here. Employees here are very nice. My favorite food here is "Tom Yum Noodle" with #2 noodle, very authentic Thai soup.
The pork boat noodles were seriously delicious. Service great as well.
Great soup. Quick service
Beware! They will scam you! Overcharged my credit card by two times the amount of the meal- food is super average anyway. Go down the street to Jitlada for quality Thai food and avoid this scam!
Best Thai in the area. Been here many years ago in La Brea but still the best. The chicken curry is excellent, generous portion, savory and authentic. The basil stewed pork leg was very good but it would be nice to get less fatty parts.
When you ask for spicy hot, they delivered spicy hot.
Will come back soon!
it's not tasty😩
This place is my go to spot when I feel like eating Thai food. I always get their tom yum noodle which has the perfect balance of meaty flavor and sourness, their pad thai, and lastly, pepper and garlic ground pork with sticky rice. The pork dish is so addicting! I’ve tried this with regular pork and crispy pork, but ground pork suits the best with the seasoning.
Very good food love the Thai tea very sweet 😋 pad that was the best.
Wow! Online service has gone down tremendously. No one pays attention. I ordered Pad Ga Pow with shrimp and got it with larb. Ordered yellow curry as well. I’m glad I ordered 2 items cause I’m stuck eating that! The whole thing was all onions! Barely any chicken, or potatoes! The potatoes are undercooked. I’m just so disappointed. I used to really like this place!
Food was decent. I personally thought that the boat noodle soup was a bit too sweet, but the service here was poor.
Boat noodles $14 ++

This is my second time back in a short period of time so I'd say I like it. I'm not in love with it, but it won't disappoint. Fair portions, great "fresh" coconut water is it for hydration and pairing with a dish. Muy rico. It's a 5 of 5 for me because of the satisfaction with an expectation of service and neatness of a place. Good cozy place. ✒️📓✍️
Très bon repas et prix très correct
Great noodle place
I recently dined at this Thai spot, and my experience was a mixed bag. The highlight of the noon was undoubtedly the delicious food, but unfortunately, the service left much to be desired.
The younger servers were really nice but the one with glasses who took our take out orders, I think she was having a bad day. I’d love to leave five ⭐️ but still the food was really good.
Delicious mom and pop restaurant
Delicious food !
Fast and easy service. Their noodle dishes are amazing. I highly recommend getting the drunken noodles.
A friend suggested an original Tom yum soup. It was not bad at all
The food here is great, but you really have to double check them on your to-go orders! This is the 2nd time they’ve messed up my order. Last time they gave me chicken instead of pork, and this time they left out a whole side of rice!
Authentic flavors are the strong suit here. Reminiscent of more traditional Thai restaurants you can find bolder and more heat here.
Patron's favorite is the Tum Yum Noodle. I haven't found this dish at many other establishments, and Pa Ord does an excellent job. It may be slightly sweeter than a street version, but the fragrant spicy broth is very satiating. An order may seem a bit thin with noodles, so do consider ordering extra noodles if you're really hungry. The Fish Cake slices are also very well made and pair well. A medium spice level is perfect for the season Thai food fan.
Other regular favorites such as the Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles are also very good. Stir fry dishes seem to also be the tasty craft coming out of the kitchen.
The only disappointment appears to be some of the quality of the proteins in the various dishes. Although with excellent spices and flavors, the proteins seem to be lesser cuts being tough and maybe overcooked a bit. Otherwise, Pad Ord can deliver some great well known Thai flavors that many other restaurants seem to be holding back on or subduing.
I was excited to try the boat noodles at this restaurant given its high ratings, but I found them to be overly sweet. It felt like there was way too much sugar in the seasoning. I had a similar experience with other dishes as well. While the food is okay, it didn't meet my expectations based on the reputation of the place. There are other spots in Thai Town that I prefer and would recommend over this one. Overall, my experience was disappointing.
Good
Probably one of the best Thai places I've ever been to. Really authentic and good for its price. I ordered the #1 with flat noodles and mild spicy (mild is pretty spicy). Would definitely come again!
The food is a culinary delight. Not only is it incredibly tasty, but the prices are also very reasonable. Each dish is an explosion of authentic Thai flavors, and the portions are always generous. It’s a fantastic balance of exquisite taste and affordability.
What adds to the charm of this place is the exceptional service. The staff is unfailingly warm and attentive, making you feel like an honored guest. They’re more than willing to offer suggestions and even customize dishes to your liking.
If you’re a Thai cuisine enthusiast, this restaurant is a hidden treasure in LA. It consistently provides an exceptional dining experience, and I find myself returning time and again. Don’t miss out on this culinary gem!
Sometimes when you are looking for Thai food in LA you’ll find “adjusted” taste to cater local pallette…. Luckily Pa Ord stays true to it’s original flavour
Amazing food, very affordable! Their pineapple fried rice is yummy. The thai coffee is waaaayy too sweet for my taste however
Great and authentic Thai food. They specialize in noodle soups, which are completely delicious. Parking can be rough, the restaurant is located in a strip mall with limited spots. Service is basic, not all that friendly.
Multiple food blogs have lauded this spot as having some of the best boat noodles in LA, and so my sister and I had to check it out. Came here for lunch on a Saturday around 2pm and there was no wait. There’s a small parking lot with some dedicated spots for other businesses, so be mindful of signage. Otherwise, there’s metered street parking. We ordered the crispy rice salad, pork boat noodles, and pad Thai. You can customize the spice level and we went with a medium for the boat noodles, and mild for the Pad Thai (which was still on the spicier side). We asked for the boat noodles to come with no pork liver but a couple of balls still snuck through, which was fine since we saved them for our dad. The broth was very umami and you also get to pick the type of noodles you’d like. The crispy rice salad came with a lot of pork and had cut cabbage on the side for you to mix yourself. The food came out quickly and was very tasty.
They do accept credit cards now although you can still bring cash. There’s one single occupant restroom available in the back through the back door. They’ll bring your check when ready and you go up to the counter to pay. Overall, a super tasty restaurant with boat noodles that are hyped for a valid reason.
Walked in on someone using the toilet. Broken door handle or something. Foods were ok and small portions
Came to Pa Ord for lunch, and despite seeing almost everyone eating thai boat noodles, we chose to order something else on the menu. Food didnt taste great at all (see individual comments below) but the staff and service were nice.
Here are the ratings for each dish, 1 being poor and 10 being the best.
Thai milk tea - 9
From my home country we have alot of Thai milk tea around too. Must say that this is one of the better ones i've tasted. Not worth the price though.
Thai pork fried rice - 7
Best dish on the table that day (and hence it gets a photo recognition). The rice was quite wet and puffy, but they did use overnight rice so that was good.
Abit more on the oily side.
Pad see ew (beef and tofu) - both 3
Noodles were not flavourful, the chilli didnt really blend well into the noodles, vegetables overcooked with too much wok hey scent. Beef was totally tough, trop cuit (man, that cow sacrificed in vain), and it was like biting through staedtler.
The fried tofu was not much better, the skin was so impregnable that the metal fork cannot even pick it up.
Shrimp cake - 4
Serving portion of 4. It was freshly cooked and hot, so i cant imagine what it would taste like after it cools down.
The batter layer, again was too thick and the size was huge, took me awhile to finish.
Tom yum soup - 6
Big portion that serves 4. Awesome that they gave a generous amount of ingredients. Won't say its the best in terms of taste (more salty than sourish flavourful), but it was comparatively better than the other dishes.
Must say that it's a big regret for not getting the thai boat noodles!
Two thai girls in front stay talking bad about people in thai language,, thinking nobody knows what theyre saying. Bad food too.
Best authentic taste
อร่อยมากๆ
Absolutely delicious 😋
Great food and service at reasonable price !!!
I’ve been here more than 10 years ago. They maintains their food consistency to taste delicious every time unlike other thai restaurants. Tom yum noodles is my favorite. The crispy pork basil over rice with a fried egg is amazing! Make sure to get extra crispy pork. It’s worth it.
Good Thai food, very delicious.
Pa Ord Noodle is one of my new favorite restaurants in SoCal. Wow. I was initial hesitant about visiting Pa Ord Noodle, especially since we were just in Southeast Asia a few weeks ago and thought our good friend was overhyping this place. Like seriously, how good can a restaurant be?
We went in with initially high expectations and let's just say, Pa Ord Noodle shatter them. We greeted with incredible customer service and were constantly checked upon throughout our visit. The service staff did not miss a beat at all. The place was clean, organized and spacious. We did not feel rushed at any time nor did we feel like we were waiting on anything on our end. The dishes also came out quickly.
We ordered a few different dishes, and by far, the fish cakes were the table's favorite. I got the Kuay Teaw Lord, which were stir fried flat noodles with ground pork, shrimp and squad on top. Most of the dishes tasted like my own mother's home cooking - instantly bringing me back to my childhood. There are a few more dishes I want to try next time, including their popular Pad Thai, Spicy Eggplant, etc. I'm already creating my list for our next visit!
Overall, I'm a newly minted fan of Pa Ord Noodle! It's a great Thai restaurant with no thrills. You get what you pay for - an authentic dining experience.
I live in Orange County but every time I go to Thai town I always eat here. I always get the Tom Yum noodle (non spicy) and crispy pork with rice. Yummy!
Oh, the service is excellent too!
I love yen at fo noodles
South Sea Fried Rice made miss home, miss my childhood in Vietnam even. I’ve been in the US for 10 years and nothing made me miss home — the Fried Rice made me miss home.
Got invited by friends to this place. Food was awesome! Lots of different menu compared to other thai place.
A friend recommended this Thai place. Everything was right on! Hit home! Very delicious, glad we gave it a try!
Don’t let the unpretentious decor fool you - the food is absolutely top notch here. I’ve been to nearly a dozen Thai spots in the LA area including some of the “must-go” scene-y places but everything paled in comparison to Pa Ord!
Parking is scant so keep that in mind before you arrive.
I am big time foodie! and I must say this was the best Pad Thai Noodles I have ever tried. I recommend anyone wanting authentic Thai Food do not go anywhere until you try this first! Great job to the staff and chef!!
One of the best restaurants in the world. I have tried almost all the menu items and they all tasted so good. I always stop by when I'm in town. SUPERB!
Tasty
Cheap and tasty food. The crispy pork is so delicious
We paid $6 dollars for vallet parking. Doesn't make sense, we're not coming back anymore
Food was pretty good. Portions lacked! Pun intended. They need to up their portions.
Every time I visit LA I love to come here for lunch. Super super good Thai food. Taste like my mom cooking!
Highly recommend!
Food was delicious, I ordered boatt noodles pork they were 5/5. I've eaten boat noodles in thailand but the amount of flavor from pa ord noodle was amazing. The crispy spicy pork belly with thai fried rice was another 5/5. I'll be going back once a week for the boat noodles. Medium was abit spicy maybe tell them no spice so you do it yourself if you have a problem with spicy food. Thai coconut is a must by also the coco water is delicious.
Boat noodle soup with beef here is so good. The broth is full of flavor and they don't skimp on the meat! Definitely will come back.
As a fan of Thai food, I highly recommend this place. I ordered boat noodles, spicy catfish, shrimp cake, and crispy pork with Chinese Broccoli. All of them were great. If you can't eat spicy food, don't come here. I suggest that you should go with a mild level of spicy if you normally order Medium in other restaurants. The price is not high. One time I came here in a group of 7. We are a lot but the bill was $175 including 15% of the tips (they automatically charge 15% on the bill). Will come back.
The best boat noodle in So. CA. And not too expensive. We often drive up from OC. Other dishes are also pretty good.
The dryest crispy pork I’ve ever had, lousy noodles
It was a little hectic since we came on Thanksgiving day and everything else was closed. But food was excellent and the service was good considering all the traffic of take-out orders coming in.
