House of Thai Taste brings the flavors of Thailand to Los Angeles. This restaurant offers classic Thai dishes alongside Asian cuisine specialties.
So at first I was going to be a Karen because the to-go containers looked a little small, but once I tasted the food I felt all of the "let me speak to the manager" leaving my body. Let me tell you that the flavors here are so on point I will definitely be coming back. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Not only was the food delicious but they really jam packed the containers with food 😂. Once I got in there I realized how densely the food was packed. The containers just gave the impression of small portions. I got spicy yellow curry with chicken and spicy shrimp fried rice. Both were really good. My only complaint would be that there wasn't more broth in the curry. I'm sure the bowls for dine-in holds more liquid. I haven't tried the pad thai or pad soon wen but those are next on the list!
This was some of the BEST food I have EVER eaten of ANY kind!!!! Had the yellow curry with some extra heat. It was perfectly balanced and filling. Gyozas were excellent. Yes it is a very "homey" and comfortable environment. I can say that I need not look any further for Thai restaurants. THIS IS IT!!!!
🤩 Wow! If I could give 10 stars to this restaurant, I would have.
It has delicious dishes, we had the Tom Yum chicken soup, veggie egg rolls and drunken noodles, veggies are finally cooked appropriately, the other Thai places we went in LA always serves to fast with hard vegetables. This one is very patient, such a nice and great service. Will definitely come back here. Prices are so good too, thank you Thai Taste!🤤😍
We used to love House of Thai Taste and picked up food there for many years. We stopped going before the Pandemic because the place was very dirty one day.
We just went back after a few years and the place is super clean, but sadly, the food has gone downhill so much we won't be back.
The service is very nice and they are fast. They will get your order right the first time. Parking is easy in their lot or on the street.
Their prices have gone up, which I understand, but for what we ordered I could have gone to a better place.
The food was just not up to par. The Pai Thai had no peanuts in it at all. It was bland and the noodles were over cooked. The Shrimp and vegetable tempura was not eatable. It clearly was not cooked to order. It was soggy and the taste was just not there. It was soft and just not good. The rice was dry.
The curry and dumplings were good, and that is why I am giving them 3 stars because a couple of items were good. The curry was filled with flavor and spicy as we requested. The dumplings were also pretty good. We also had egg rolls and they were fine.
We were disappointed over all and won't be back, we can't afford to toss food in the trash, but two of the dishes were good, so maybe you will have better luck.
It's a great place. It's been around for years. And the food has always been good. So if you're looking for good Thai food, House of Thai Taste is definitely the spot!!.
The food is sooooo good here!!! I am so glad I can regularly support a small, mom and pop shop that makes such good food.

Good Thai food. I enjoyed the eggplant and tofu and chicken fried rice. Small restaurant.
Best and tastiest thai food in los angeles!!
Not open New Year’s Eve and new year day.

Nice. I'm going back.
Everything awesome
Will be returning!
My favorite thai spot, got takeout last night and everything was super fresh and delicious, got the bbq sampler, pad see ew, yellow curry and duck fried rice.

They are always so friendly and you get good portions for a good price! Great Thai food!!
Worst Thai place i’ve ever been to. Not clean, unprofessional staff, awful food. Dined here with my girlfriend once and the table was not clean, the server was dressed poorly, and unprofessional. My gf found a small piece of METAL in her food, we call the server over and he says “oh sorry that happens all the time ugh” like what?? I ask for the bill so we can get out of there asap and he had the audacity to leave her meal on the bill. Even without the metal in the food, the food was gross, loaded up with sauce way beyond desirable & just poor quality ingredients. I’m not the type to leave negative reviews but this place deserves it. Avoid at all costs, so many better Thai places nearby.
super yummy and always kind service
I’m so happy to have these guys in our neighborhood! Food is always good and they’re always so nice!
Excellent. Delicious. Relaxed, Wonderful service.
Food was good. They forgot to include cutlery and tissues on takeout.
FAST DELIVERY!
Excellent meal. I had cashew chicken and brown rice.
worst thai food ever, bern going here for decades, don’t know if they changed direction or management but i would have felt better throwing $75 in the street. very dissapointed
Good stuff. Chill
We eat take-out dinner every Friday night. Sometimes from one of three Chinese restaurants, sometimes from House of Thai Taste.
The food is quite tasty, well seasoned, spicy but not *too* spicy. Our favorite dishes are woon sen soup (chicken stock with vegetables, "glass noodles", bits of chicken and a shrimp or two), woon sen beef (glass noodles with bits of beef and veggies), and yellow curry.
The only problem is that they sometimes get orders confused. Several times they have given me somebody else's order, or _mostly_ my order but with the wrong soup - tofu instead of glass noodles. I've learned that I should (1) order by phone, not over the web, and (2) pick the order up in person so I can check it before I take it away. Getting it delivered is an invitation for mistakes.
In spite of the mistakes, the food is tasty enough to make it worthwhile.
One of the best Thai salads ever! The food was so good, but the salad is can’t-miss.
BUENA COMIDA
House of Thai Taste is my neighborhood Thai restaurant and they never disappoint! Their Pad Thai is literally to die for, and their lunch/dinner specials are an incredible value. I recently tried the taro sticky rice for the first time and it was delicious, it was very filling and hearty for a dessert. I typically get mango sticky rice, so this was a fun new change for dessert!! They’re always so lovely when I go in, and their prices are so reasonable. They’ll always get my business!!!
Loved what we ordered. Good portion, reasonable price
My feel-good spot when i want to have something that feels homemade! A Venice staple!
Was super tired after skating all day and when I saw that this place was open I thought might as well give it a chance. It was an amazing choice the service, the flavor, the everything was amazing highly recommend. Didn’t even get a chance to take a picture of the food. It was so good we just devoured it all.
Got food to go but the dinner special was delicious. Definitely going back!
Great Thai place, quite reasonable priced too
My son with down syndrome was sitting still. As soon as we walked in we got a dirty look. He is non verbal and communicates with grunts and loud noises. He never got out of his seat and the waitress took like 20 minutes to take out order. She proceeded to tell me "if he yells, take care of him." That was so devastating. He wasn't running around or being bad. I still don't understand what she meant by take care of him. We cancelled our order and walked out. People with disabilities have rights! The disrespect of this place was awful. My husband has visited this place for like 10 years and the way out baby was treated was just sad!
เป็นกำลังใจและอร่อยมาก
Очень вкусно и атмосферно , советую всем !
It is a tiny restaurant; however, the food is delicious, and they serve outstanding food—a good amount too.
My Friend JJ was the One who Took me to House of Thai Taste. He asked me what I had a Taste for? What ever You have a Taste for I said. He said he knew a Great Place, Yet it was not close by, Cool, Let's Go. He Drove there. When we walked in I immediately liked the Comfortable Mood of the Restaurant, the Waiter was Friendly and Very Patient with me, Since the Menu Selections was Really good and Large, I had a Hard time Deciding what I Wanted to Eat. I Finally Selected a Meal, a it was Delicious. I will be Back, Sincerely,Ray Spoon Of Gardena.
Chicken Pad Thai dinner special is delicious !! Service is always great here
Best Thai place in town for sure. I’ve been coming here for years and it’s always consisten with amazing flavor and quality. Love the dinner combos so you get to try a variety of dishes. Such a nice and friendly environment. Everything on the menu is delicious.
A little dated and dingy inside, but the flavors surpass that.
The Mrs was disappointed in her dish and the waiter refused to refund it for a different dish. That's a losing proposition in my opinion and a bad choice on their part.
The flavors were very good though!
Great thai food
I'm very lucky to have a great Thai restaurant in my neighborhood that's walking distance. They'll even deliver free if you're within a certain distance
Amazing Thai at an even better price!! WOW!
This food so good i’m in New York still thinking about it
Great little Thai dig, the service is always great and the food is awesome.
We’re always on the hunt for good Thai food and this place is one of our favorites! Super simple food with tons of flavor and affordable.
I had the best soup here!
Large portions. FRESH and tasty! You will not be disappointed.
This is not a review about the food, but about the staff.
I was about to have dinner at this restaurant with my family, but the staff was so rude that we decided to go somewhere else.
This might be a good place for take away, but I do not recommend it as a restaurant.
Great Thai Salad. The service is great and food is very tasty 😋. Must visit again.. Truly delicious and very healthy!! 😋
We had excellent service and the food tasted wonderful! Will definitely come again when I'm back in the area
Beat Thai food ,hands down
Small joint and food might take while, but it's all worth it. I'm a fan of the panang curry. Food is always fresh and full of flavor.
Amazing Thai food! Easy parking! We took Pineapple Fried Rice, Tofu and Tom Yum Soup. The service was very quick and friendly too. They agreed to customize the items since we were vegetarians. They have a great selection of vegetarian options. The ambience is very cozy. This is the best Thai food I have ever had! Hands down!
I had a great Mussuman Curry here! It was for pickup, and it was ready perfectly on time. The clerk was exceptionally nice and thorough to make sure everything was correct. Traveled easily, and the curry was very rich.
My friend recommended this restaurant to me and let me tell you I was absolutely floored. It was some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. I had this lemon grass soup and I have never tasted something so wonderful in my life! I could not believe what I was eating. Also the ambiance was so cozy and just the perfect little vibe for you and your friends to have a nice heart to heart. I loved the server and he was so nice. I don’t ever write review but this was worth it!
Buen servicio
Great food
Yummy fried rice and great customer service thank you 😊
Bruh. Just hit up the beach, I walk in, my main man Pruk takes my order, 90s jams playin, sun is setting, and then, it happens.
I take a taste of the curry, and I experience the serenity that few humans have ever experienced, the perfect meal experience.
This place SLAPS, okuuurrrr?
If you can, get a job as a dish washer here, it’s an easy job as THERE ARE NEVER ANY LEFTOVERS, CLEAN PLATES ONLY, OKAAAY???
Shout out to homie Pruk, stay real man.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND‼️
The lunch and dinner specials are really great deals and the food is great. I love the Pad Thai Dinner Special particularly, but any of the options are worth a shot. Their appetizers are also great!
Service is good, but if they are full and busy they can sometimes slow down a little bit.
This restaurant is awful.. It is way overpriced and horrible quality. I ordered shrimp only Pad Thai. Dried out bland noodles no egg , peanuts but only 4 shrimps for a 17.00 item !The egg rolls soggy and tasteless. Extremely disappointed.. If I were in person in the restaurant I would send back this garbage .. Don’t waste your time or money ! I
Authentic thai food
Absolutely delicious..😃😃
Affordable and tasty. A must for people who love Thai food.
We ordered a bunch of food for 5 hungry huge people and everything was delicious. It's my go to Thai place when you want home cooked fresh Thai food. Really nice family style bistro. Order everything especially the spicy shrimp fried rice...the seafood was fresh and delicate in every dish! Oh the Thai ice tea was a family favorite too!
Always so delicious!! My go-to Thai food in the area. Definitely recommended.
This Thai spot has delicious, large portion meals. I found the spot just by walking by, but have already gone back multiple times. I highly recommend their sampler appetizer which has a variety of bite sized goodies. I usually get their pad thai (can't go wrong with that). The service is always friendly and fast as well and I love to support small businesses! (My photos are of take out but they are just as delicious once at home)
Got Pad Thai and Penang curry the other night and it was super delicious. I have tried a few other Thai places around Venice and I have to say House of Thai Taste just became my favorite spot. It’s a little pricier but it tastes yummy and they put plenty of chicken in their curry. I will come again :)
Food is good but check your order before leaving. Rice is not included with curry.😁
Very cute little restaurant. Support your neighboring small businesses. There's easy parking behind the restaurant and on the side street, all for free.
Very small inside with limited seating mostly closed down to covid right now.
The staff is exceptional and can handle a takeout order with no issue. The food is fast and fresh.
This restaurant has a good menu and very good prices.
I ordered the chicken satay to go. It came with four large chicken satays, plentiful amount of peanut Thai sauce, hot sauce, of course the sweetened cucumber and vegetables on the side. All delish!
The chicken is all white meat chicken and the vegetables are crisp and delicious the hot sauce adds a little punch to the peanut Thai sauce.
They promised me the food be ready in 10 minutes and it was perfectly hot when I picked it up 10 minutes later. They included napkins and a fork and all the accoutrements you could need.
This place is very welcoming. Nice and clean, with simple cute thai decorations around restaurant. That staff was very nice. I recommend that you come here for a great Thai meal.
Bien muy bien

Very bad service (
Live by here and always wanted to try it. It was decent. Don't think will be back other Thai restaurants in the neighborhood that I'd rather eat at.
Small on the inside but good food
Very good food. Shrimp was fresh and hot delicious. Yellow chicken curry was full of flavor and perfectly done. Chicken Satay was slightly dry other than that flavorful.
Not much taste, bland. Not welcoming service. Pricey.
Good food. Fast service. Patient staff.
Best Thai food in the area. Quality.
Great chicken chow mein i feel its small and always want more i wish the portions were a bit bigger but its always delicious.
Great Thai food at a good price with signature Thai hospitality . Very Venice like ambience inside . I loved it !!!
BEST THAI PLACE IN LA.
The food is excellent and so is the service.
Love this place
I used to go to house of Thai a few times during a work week a few years back when I was working out in Venice. I just started working in the area again and the good taste of their food is still on top.
My go to for Thai! Always on point!
First time ordering from House of Thai taste and I Gotta say it was a true five stars, the Mongolian beef was super tasteful and the spicy fried rice was on point. It seems like the vegetables were really fresh and all around turned out to be a great dinner good job guys
Deliciosa comida 😋
awful customer service
Absolutely love this place i have been going here to have shrimp fried rice since I was in High School (all them years ago. 🤣) just recently decided to bring along my boyfriend and he fell in love with the crab fried rice. The people there are always so polite. And honesty you pay the price for a great meal. You definitely will not be disappointed here.
Please dont put salt on the soup .
Delicious food anything on the menu is worth trying
Food is mediocre.
Thai taste curry: 3/5 (I asked for it mild to medium but I think it was closer to medium to hot)
Pineapple fried rice: 3/5 (too dry)
Pad thai: 3/5
Good food
The most delicious food on the Westside. Great service !
food is good, however they will susbstitute your to go meals without asking first. I ordered cashew chicken and when I got home I had vegetable chowmein...called and they asked me if the chowmein was okay I was like no and they expected me to go back there but my lunch hour was done...
So happy they're open for take out ... I just ordered way too much food for one person and it's even better than I remember!!!! Sooooooo good!!!!!
You must try the shrimp fried rice. Great customer care. Cute Lil place.
First time and best experience ever!
Good food. Good lunch specials. Small dining area.
Well, people there seemed to really like their food, but as for me,not that good. The sauce was too sweet, and quantity not enough with one dish...
BEST THAI FOOD I’ve ever had! Hands down my favorite thai restaurant!! Their pad thai is #1 it is unlike any other pad thai I’ve ever tasted: very fresh, authentic, flavorful, and delicious . They have truly mastered the pad thai recipe. Also their currys are to die for! My favorite is yellow curry and panang curry! Give this place a try it’ll be so worthy it!!
Food is delicious but their delivery service sucks, no matter what you do, they will not read the instructions and send condiments that you request. I'm 0 of 5 and this time when I called up, they just hung up on us.
Been eating there for 20+ years, I'm done being a loyal customer.
Great food and amazing Energy ☆🙏
Fresh food!!!
Mediocre food. Ordered the yellow curry with tofu and the tofu had a really funny taste. The pork in the curry dish was tasteless and chewy And the restaurant was dirty and had dirty windows. Way overrated. I would not go back.
Clean, courteous and good food.
Their spicey shrimp fried rice and egg rolls are amazing
Service was great!
This is one of my favorite Thai places in La! The curry here is to die for. I usually get the yellow curry or the panang and it is always consistently good! Very friendly Thai family as well that Runs this place. Love this place check it out!
Big fan of this place. Food is good quality and consistent. Best Thai Food in the area for sure
It's a tiny restaurant, but hands-down my favorite Thai food ever. I can't reccomend specific dishes, because everything I've eaten there has been SO GOOD! The lunch and dinner specials are a tremendous value.
Fantastic, from out of town. Wanted Good Prices and Quality, NO ONE in our party was disappointed with their food and loved every bite! This place is a MUST. Also won't hurt your pockets!
Their food is O.K., but beware when you place an order on food ordering platforms such as Grubhub. The place does not open for dinner till 5pm, but tend to accept order before 5pm. My order was more than ten minutes later than it was promised. There was no apology. Also there is no parking, and street parking can be very difficult.
אוכל מעולה !!! שרות מצויין
Good food, but expensive ..
This meal was GREAT!! Never had Tom Yum soup hotpot before (how fun!) The Wild Ocean has a super tangy broth and the seafood medley was perfection. Also ordered the papaya salad and a vegetable pad thai — delicious!
Side note: the menu with the various recommendations next to menu dishes of “wow” and “delightful” totally cracked me up.
Give this place a visit and you won’t regret it!
The food was typical of a basic Thai restaurant, not that memorable. The service was horrible and it took forever to be served. Go to Ekkamai Thai on Washington. It's much better service
Never had a bad meal here, good food.
If you like Thai food, prefer that it be authentic, not just how it tastes, but how it is prepared and where it is served (i.e. ambience), and above all require that these culinary masterpieces be made available to your hungry a** at a ridiculously affordable price (say $10 max!) you have two options:
1) Go to Thailand
2) Go to Thai Taste
For $8.55, below is a snapshot of my order: an everyday lunch combo (this isn't everyday to any of us!) where, among the dozen entree choices, I picked one called "beef and noodles." Enough said.
