He knows what he's talking about!! It's a small place but absolutely transports you into a different region, it's just so cute and cozy and really captures the culture. We ordered the gyoza potstickers as an appetizer which are DELICIOUS, I ordered the Thai Time Noodles (also phenomenal) and my bf ordered the Salmon Special with curry. All INCREDIBLE. Tried his salmon (I'm not huge into seafood and it was delicious). Side note, they ask for heat preference 1-10, I got 4 just to see what it was about and definitely had a good kick lol. If you're in the area and looking for some banging Thai food stop here!!! Also they serve beer which is a win

I ate here on a Friday at 11:30-12:15 and it wasn’t over crowded. Thai tea was so yummy. The price was reasonable. Will be back. I highly recommend. Parking was easy

We stumbled across this little tucked away treasure about 12 years ago and have been regulars since. This quiet little restaurant has authentic Thai food with delicious, savory, and flavorful meals. You can choose something light and vegetarian, or hearty and fulfilling from their choice of soups, appetizers, veggies, noodles, rice, and meats. We always get the Tom yum soup, spicy noodle, heavenly chicken (similar to orange chicken), and stuffed cream cheese wontons. The friendly staff has been here forever and they remember us after so many years, always friendly and smiling. The meals come out very fast, so it’s perfect if you’re in a rush or super hungry. The portions are all large and shareable. This beautifully decorated restaurant is a must try if you want some really delicious food. Right across the street from parkway plaza mall.

2：The cashew chicken also had a lot of vegetables, the chicken breast was very dry and very little, and the cashews were also pitifully few. The whole dish is like drinking soup.
3: About Pad thai? Oh my god again. It tasted so bad that I almost vomited! We had this dish at another Thai restaurant near here and it was delicious.
We spent $72 on a mostly vegetarian lunch.
The restaurant has a nice Thai design, a great environment and no weird smells. This is very important for industry players.
But the taste and quantity of the food were not appropriate, so we will not be eating at your restaurant again.

I'm hooked! Thai Time in El Cajon has become my go-to spot for authentic Thai cuisine. I've been back so many times, I've lost count! The warm and inviting atmosphere makes me feel like I'm in Thailand, but it's the incredible food that keeps me coming back for more.

From the crispy Tod Mun to the fragrant and flavorful Pad Thai, every dish is a masterclass in balance and flavor. And don't even get me started on the Pad See Iew - it's a game-changer! The freshness and quality of the ingredients shine through in every bite.

The service is top-notch, with very friendly and attentive staff who know their menu inside and out. They're always happy to make recommendations or accommodate special requests.

I've tried other Thai restaurants in the area, but none compare to Thai Time. I'm a loyal customer for life! If you haven't tried it yet, do yourself a favor and get thee to Thai Time - your taste buds will thank you!

The server only brought our food and drinks....never once came back to check on us. Not sure if it was because we were Mexican customers or because they didn't care for us, but one of the servers had the audacity to stop me as I was getting ready to leave..in front of other customers, and accuse us of not leaving a tip. I didn't know there was a law in place where you have to leave a tip...especially for bad service. I informed her that we had left one and she again accused us of not leaving one. She then got the receipt and I pointed out how we left a $11+ tip (which we were forced to psy) per receipt. She then smiled and said sorry. This behavior was wrong on many levels. Please check your bill and speak up if you are treated like this. There was NOTHING POSTED about mandatory 18% service charge being added to a bill.

It's a good Thai place! The server was very courteous and reasonably attentive. They don't play music and during the day, the place is pretty much just lit with the sunlight coming in from the full glass walls, so the ambiance is what you make of it.

Now onto the food! It's in fairly large portions, so you could easily split a entree like curry or An Entire Fish with a friend. That's not what my friend and I did, though. Nope, they managed to down An Entire Fish (the pampano?) and I ate half my pineapple curry and rice and took the rest home. Both were delicious and full of sauce and protein and Flavor. Delightful. I had mock duck and it was very flavorful in conjunction with the curry, with decent enough texture of its own, given that it was made of tofu!

For packaging, they don't use styrofoam cuz this is California, thank heck. But they do use plastic, so maybe bring your own collapsible silicone containers if lowering your waste output matters to you!

The food is always delicious. They’re fast and even for take out orders the food is always piping hot that when I get home it is still hot enough that nothing needs to be warmed up and can be served right away.

We have been to this place so many times, but today was our last..My siblings and I, so party of 3 went to have lunch they add 18% service charge on bill , than when we got up to leave she asked You not leaving tip ? Explained to her it was already on bill..Never will we go back

Our favorite Thai restaurant. Invariably we order fresh spring rolls with yummy peanut sauce, tom kha soup, pad see ew, and mango rice dessert along with hot ginger tea, with plenty left over to take home. Very attentive wait staff. We always see plenty of take-out being picked up.

3rd time here. 1st time they tossed my rice when packaging my leftovers. Second time they brought wrong meat choice. This time no errors but my beef curry was more like curry soup. Sauce should be thicker. Went for lunch 3 people $60.

I was at this restaurant yesterday about 5pm. The food was delicious!
But my server (BT) was poor. She had an immediate bad attitude with me, and I do not know why? She was nice to others around me, but not me. She needs training that one needs to be friendly with all customers, and do not discriminate others. I was still cordial with her, but she was not pleasant toward me at all.

Love this little spot for Thai. They are very friendly and they have great dishes. I always see the place packed. Be careful or patient when coming at busy times because they do have limited seating but it is worth it.

Oh wow! (Mark Wiens voice) Every single item I ordered was delicious! Fried egg rolls, po tak soup, chicken spicy fried rice, mango sticky rice. The waitress is very nice and the music created a relaxed ambience. Don't look further and come here for authentic thai food!!

the atmosphere was super chill and relaxing. the decor is nice and the store is clean. the workers were friendly. we got Thai tea and boba and we didn't specify a size but it was about 32 oz of deliciousness. the best Thai tea we've tried. the boba was good too. we took our food to go but it remained hot for a long time. my wife got roasted duck pad Thai and she loved it, the noodles and sauce were savory and delicious. I got chicken spicy noodles. my dish wad perfect I loved the thick noodles so much, it was perfectly spicy(I love spicy). I am hesitant ordering spicy food bc sometimes it isn't spicy but this was, no need to add any to make it spicy. good about of veggies cooked well we will definitely return here

Nosotros elegimos curry amarillo y rojo(incluye porción de arroz blanco) la escala de picor elegimos el número 2.
La escala de picor es del 0 al 10 dependiendo que tan picante les gusta la comida. Se aconseja no pedir arriba del 5. El té de la casa es sin endulzar y es de refill.

What a delightful little find in of all places, El Cajon. The Curry, the Pad Thai, the Spring Rolls - everything was fresh and very flavorful. Service was wonderful. Truly some of the best yellow curry I've ever tasted. This is a small place, and it was full at lunchtime, but they also had a lot of food going out for pickup. Busy, but that did not hinder the service at all. I will be back.

Always a Great experience ... Food is reasonably priced ... Staff is fast, friendly, and efficient. I am pretty sure this is the only place that serves Soft Shell Crab which is what initially attracted me to the business. I don't ever give 5's .... Love this place. The food is delicious and the service is fantastic. We've been there maybe 6 or 7 times. They even remembered my elderly mother's special requests and was preparing the moment they seen us walk thru the doors. Greeted with a smile & treated with scrumptious food. Love it!!

Everything we had here was delicious and certainly exceeded our expectations and was decently priced as well! We had papaya salad, duck pad see ew, the hot basil with pork, and tiger cry steak. They also have hot sake. The restaurant is cute and cozy and the staff was very friendly and a perfect level of attentiveness.

Really elegant plates when eating in. And the food tastes as good as it looks. The service is quick and efficient. Say hello or thank you in Thai and get the royal treatment. Order a Singha beer and they will know you know Thai. And DANG the food is good. Seriously stretch a little and try the Tod Mun (fish cakes) and the Pla Rad Prik (deep fried tilapia in chili sauce). Sweet, sour, salty, bitter and spicy are the Thai flavors and they're all there!

The cream cheese filled pies like are really good. I had beef chow main was zero flavor n real watery. My mom had beef with mixed veggies very flavorless n very watery. The pineapple rice that's served in a half pineapple was real good. But I wouldn't go back again. To bad cuz service is great!

They are purposely leaving the outdated menu pricing up on Google to deceive customers. Heads up when I arrived my order was $15 more than the posted prices. The most bland Thai food I have ever had, the crab fried rice had ZERO seasoning. The wait staff was rude when I asked about the pricing as well and she lied and said oh thats not our website, she knew full well the menu I was looking at on Google.

This was my first time coming to Thai Time and I was disappointed. The waiter couldn’t understand what I wanted to order and for the reason I didn’t get what I ordered I tried to explain it was wrong and he refused to take it back even though I didn’t touch it. I paid full price for everything!!!!

This could be the best Thai in the East County. I saw how one reviewer couldn't wait to try the duck- all I eat is the spicy noodles with duck (but everything's good). If there's a negative, it would be that my Thai cravings are often strongest on Sundays. That, and my forgetting how stupid-hot level 8 heat is. Doh!

I came to this restaurant many times and the service was always ok but the food was so good that I came coming back I dined in today with my sister and my newborn baby and I didn't tip because the service wasn't that good they had forgot items on my order so when I got the bill I paid and I left when I was at the door the waitress called me out in front of everyone and told me that I had not tipped her and that I had to tip before I left she wouldn't let me leave and demand me to tip her she made me come all the way back to my table with my newborn in hand and told me to tip her so I did I didn't know tips were mandatory and no where in the menu or the restaurant did it state that tips were mandatory

After all the years I have been coming here this restaurant has never let me down everything you eat here is simply amazing. Also I have never found a place that has spring rolls as good as here.

Absolutely loved this place! The food was delicious and the service was excellent! It's such a nice little restaurant. They even put fresh flowers on the table! Highly recommend!!!

Eat here. The staff is nice and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. It also makes great leftovers.

I order from here pretty often and enjoy the food, but be aware: their prices have jumped significantly in a short amount of time.

What you see as their prices on this Google maps business page is from 4 years ago and what you see on their website was their price a month ago. Even Yelp is inaccurate.

At the beginning of the year, it was $11 for an entree with chicken, noodle or otherwise. Now, it's $13-$15, depending on whether it's a noodle dish or one accompanied by rice.

I was floored after picking up my call-in order. I had just ordered the same last month (June) and it was $2 less!

I'm probably going to be ordering a lot less from here for now. I love the food here and understand how things have changed economically, but going from $11 to $15 on a dish I regularly order in the span of seven months is outrageous.

Their food quality and taste have gone down. The last time we went their pad thai was very rubbery. We were the only people in the dining room, and service was horrible.

This place is wonderful. I ordered green curry with extra eggplant and jasmine rice. It tasted super delicious. Food was super hot and yummy. food portion is amazing. I put reviews in some other Thai places but then I ended up being disappointed so please keep up the good work thanks 🙏 my husband is in his way to order yellow curry this time so I hope it is as good as the green one 🤞

Service was good and welcoming. But this place did not have AC and it was super warm inside with so many people during lunch time. Food is overly sweet and unhealthy. Thai tea with Boba is beautiful but beyond sweet. I quess it depends on your liking. If you want diabetes go ahead drink that. Sticky rice mango was not fresh.
Made me really sick as well.

I forgot to take a Pik of the delicious orange chicken with White funonions. The veggies wrapps were also great, I asked for sweet oil/Sweet N Sour sauce which I dipp’d in the Wrapps and ate it like a hot Dog. The Customer service is great. Oh yeah, Thxz for the Rose.

Top notch Thai food. I usually get takeout, but the place has surprisingly nice ambiance and authentic decor for a little strip mall spot.

The food tastes good but overpriced and slow every time I go. Used to be my go to place but has deteriorated too much for me to go anymore.

Beautiful restaurant, really nice staff, family friendly, big menu, loved the green curry with veggies and tofu- many fresh veggies (cabbage, carrot, mushroom, zucchini, onion)

This is a very charming and busy little restaurant. The decor was beautiful. The music was peaceful.
I ordered one of the lunch specials. Thai fried rice with beef. Came with 1 wonton, 1 vegetable fried eggroll, small salad, and the fried rice with beef. All was absolutely delicious! Every dish that came out of the kitchen looked just as good! Service was good and timely.
I highly recommend this little gem! Yummy!!

Very good Thai food. I had Tom Kha and it was delicious, spring rolls and they are delicious, Pad Thai and it was delicious. Good Thai coffee too swerved with our without boba. Only negative is that they charged me extra for the slice of lemon I wanted to squeeze in the Pad Thai

The food here is really good and the staff is friendly. I had the pad see iew and it was delicious. Also had the sticky rice with fresh mango. 😋 My friend likes it spicy so he had the spicy noodles.

Best vegetarian Thai in East County! My boyfriend and I are vegetarian / nearly vegan, and we get takeout here at least once a week. Many of their dishes can be made vegetarian or vegan if you just ask. I’ve become spoiled from their eggplant dish and can no longer enjoy eggplant any other way, because theirs is so good.
