I bite into it anyway just to see, and yes, burnt taste. I also ordered the Pad See Eww and it has a weird aftertaste. Not sure how it has 4 stars overall because the flavor of their food is not good. I don't taste any flavoring in the noodles. Barely any veggies in it. Mad I spent $40+. Busy B Thai is the best but unfortunately they're closed for vacation.

The large Thai tea is a summer favorite. Prices have changed charging more than needed for protein options, I usually avoid places that do this. Hoping it doesn't go any higher. This place is very good! Everything I have ordered is excellent.

Pretty solid Thai food. Pretty consistent over the last 2 years I’ve been going. Always friendly and not a long wait for fresh made food. Definitely my go to Thai restaurant in El Cajon. Would absolutely recommend eating their food.

The som tum has no flavor and not one speck of Thai pepper in sight. The hot basil with beef was tasteless.. no Thai basil in sight. None of what I ordered tasted even remotely like Thai food. Will not be ordering from this place again.

My pad Thai with tofu was absolutely delicious & my hubby loved his shrimp fried rice! The staff that was at the restaurant tonight were really nice & welcoming. Loved that he repeated my order back to me when I called my order in!

Never had such delicious food. The food came out so fast I barely had time to blink. Extremely friendly staff. Portions were good for the price and they kept the place cleaned up.

Small and neat place but amazing food. Tasty spicy noodles and garlic paper chicken. Delicious. Won ton soup also good. Been coming here for years and getting lunch to go. Great lunch specials.Won ton also so good.

We had a bday party and ordered many orders of the best Yellow Curry in town. Grubhub delivered and fast at that. However one order had a long black hair in it. It was not from us as we all have gray hair or like me bald! We contacted Grubhub and they refunded us for the curry. I was so surprised at how nice they were. So rave reviews for Grubhub and I hope Finest Thai reads this and makes some needed changes in food cleanliness. I hope I can bring myself to go again...

I have been coming here since before the pandemic. During the pandemic, this place was my weekly go to and remains a favorite in our household. The food is fantastic and the customer service is wonderful. Prices are reasonable and they are quick to prepare your food! Only downside is the hours can be a little inconvenient but honestly I love this place and recommend it to others all the time! My favorite dish is the Kings Curry or the Panang Curry with sticky rice.

Small little hole in the wall with terrific thai food. Surprised the daughter and son in law with dinner, chicken patay, beef see ew, Rangoon (the best huge ones ever), shrimp fried rice. It was a hit with the kids. Huge portions, great flavor and fast and friendly service!

Excellent take out. Emphasis on the “take out.” The food really is amazing; Tom kha soup and Panang curry, I highly recommend! But we were given plastic spoons and paper plates for dine-in. To earn 5 stars, please use actual silverware and dishware.

Best Thai food in San Diego in my opinion.

Hygiene problems cause me to rate at 1 star. They picked some things off the floor with the rag they clean tables with. Then they put the rag on the counter. Later I’m guessing the owner told the waiter to wash it. And he did. But no one clean the counter that rag was put back.
At the same time, I noticed an open bag of floss. I’m guessing a customer clean their teeth and left it.
I told the owner he needs to throw it away and disinfect the table.
He took the bag of flosses and put it on the counter there serve the food from.
Great! Dirty counter with rag find a new mate! SMH
BTW, food was kinda greasy average. Nothing to write home about!

This is the best Thai restaurant in San Diego.

Food was cold, noodles were congealed and everything was greasy. We don't often splurge on take out, this was a perfect reason not too. Sorry we wasted the money.

I ordered through Uber eats and received someone else’s order. When I called the lady was rude and said if I want my order I have to pick it up. I asked for a refund and they said they were unable to do that.

The services is pleasant and they are willing to accommodate allergies well. The Yum Nuar (beef salad) is AMAZING. A must-try and that's coming from a non-beef eater!

The chicken satay and the fried tofu are also really good. We've also tried the red curry. There prices are reasonable and there's plenty of parking all around. This is the Finest Thai in East County for sure!

This is the most delicious Thai food! If you are a vegetarian or vegan, this is a great place to go. All of the dishes come with a choice of meats, mock duck, or tofu.

Ordered a simple tofu fresh spring roll and saw that it was $9.00, which is a little on the high side for such an inexpensive dish. Thought to myself, "Well, as long as its good and a decent size im fine with it." INCREDIBLY small rolls, barely enough to call it an appetizer and not a side. The taste was ok but it was still pretty disappointing in general.

Ordered dinner on line and we never got our food. No call, message or anything telling us we were not getting it. Not good for us that have to time insulin injections for our food intake. Not good customer service.

I have eaten Thai food many times. Flavor was off, saw them microwave frozen fish in a residential microwave. Make Thai Tea with cow’s milk. I ordered a curry the menu stated is was made with coconut milk. I am lactose intolerant and eating the food I had problems. After having to go to the local Target to get new clothing I went back to complain and was told I was wrong rudely.”your stomach must be confused”

Was excited to try the Thai beef salad but it's really bad..

I got chicken skewers, papaya salad, and fresh spring rolls, to go. Their bathroom was very dirty I could see dirty knives laid out on counters in the kitchen. It had just opened, So I don't know how long they were sitting out. Spring rolls were very average, chicken skewers had a very weird after taste, papaya salad did not taste fresh, it smelled old, inedible.

i don’t eat tons of thai food but this place is pretty good! their spring rolls are good but not the best i’ve had, really good fried tofu and really delicious peanut sauce, not overpowering. also tried their mango sticky rice and it was one of the best things i’ve had in a long time, definitely recommend that if you want something sweet and delicious

Wow, this place has changed a lot during the pandemic. I usually do takeout, so eating in was a bit of a change since the last time I ate in - was a couple years ago....and it's been a while since my last takeout..

All flimsy/cheap paper plates (put your hand under them), utensils, cups, and napkins. The whole thing screams cheap.

The food quality has taken a bit of a hit to. Ok to good. Avoid fried foods, as they are over cooked. Pad Thai was heavy...not sure what they did..but only passable.

Service is nearly self serve. Need anything, you will need to go to the counter to ask. For example, they will bring the food, but no plates at the same time.

We just recently found this place, and really liked it. Good value for the quantity and price of the food. Service was very good, but only one server (Monday evening, we were one of two tables while we were there).

I'm not a spice person, wife is. They offer to include the spices on the side if you like, and they have a scale for the food of 0-10, where 3 is a medium.

My only complaint was the wigheads/golden shrimp (different names at different places) but the shrimp wrapped in noodles as a app. They were just a tad small, but then you get 5, probably need one more size up. My issue is more about the balance of flavor, and less about value.

The drinks were a bit expensive, but i like the curry and the salt and pepper wings, the orange chicken is great as well!

Just moved to El Cajon from La mesa and this is as good as the Tamarind Thai in La Mesa. My go to thai place! I always get their red curry, very spicy 10 out of 10 and they give you extra flakes in case you need more. Lol I havent tried their Pad thai yet, but I will soon.

Love this local El Cajon Thai restaurant that's been here for quite some time. My favorite dish is the spicy drunken noodles with pork and a side of sticky rice yum!

Food is very good but service isn't so good because they are usually on there phones and with their masks below their noses and it takes about 30-1 hour for your food because the service is so slow but food is good. But they take all their time on their phones and are not working and they just chat

I've eaten here many times and the food has been delicious each and every time. The place doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is excellent and very flavorful.

The food can be spiced on a scale from 1-10. The 5 is a solid medium so if you don't like spicy don't go that high. The portion size of the food is very good and a good value. If you are a big eater, you won't be left hungry but can finish the meal.

Shrimp springs only come with 1 shrimp cut in half. What a joke. It’s mostly lettuce and carrots. Don’t recommend.

Man, this place can be a hit or miss but when it's a hit it is undoubtedly the best Thai food in the El Cajon Area if not in East SD. I've had Thai food all across East SD and this one (despite them messing it up at times) is still my favorite. There is just this perfect balance of flavor and when you order it SUPER SPICY like I usually do, that flavor isn't sacrificed for the spice. Try the Prik King with beef or Basil chicken & always order it with a Thai ice tea <3

The cashier tried giving me .17 instead of .75. I corrected her, then she still shorted me a dime.

I ordered Yellow curry with Shrimp and Sweet and Sour Beef over the phone for pick up.
When I walked in there were 2 ladies laughing and talking.
When I approached the cashier she hurried to help me. She tore off the check from some bag of food on the table. Started ringing me up.
She rang up wrong food then gave me the wrong food.
I called back and she said to bring order back.
No apologies or offer to fix the meal.
When I arrived she tried to pawn another order on me.
I asked for a refund...... I WILL NOT BE RETURNING.
I use to come here twice a week. What happened to this place????

Every item we ate from this place was awful. Bland, old and covered in msg. Curry was horrible and didn't even taste like curry. Chicken was tough and had a weird texture. I will never eat here again, ever.

This place has horrible customer service. Ordered online and they couldn’t find my order. Then order was not ready for 30 minutes after they told me to come pick up the order. While waiting the staff was rude to multiple delivery drivers who also had late orders. Haven’t even tried to food yet. Will not come back just based off poor service.

Finest Tai charges 1.50 extra for sweet and sour sauce on an $18.00 order. At that price point you would have thought it was have been a medium size serving, however the container was so small the staff member gave me a larger size, out of sheer embarrassment that management had such tackey policies. The cashier even said " please dont shoot the messenger " as she was embarrassed to charge the inflated fee. The shrimp fried rice was bland and flavorless top it all off! The rice also contained large onions, which made the meal even more deplorable!The cashier and staff were very unprofessional, and dug rice out of a slow cooker using no gloves. Please take your business to Kips cafe a few miles down, if you want a quality meal and overall experience. I will not spend another dime in this low class DIVE.

I would give zero stars if possible . I have been going to this restaurant for years and the change of staff made this place horrible. I ordered a Thai tea and was charged extra for coconut milk. To top it off, while I was waiting for my drink to be prepared a lady(a supervisor most likely) was arguing with an employee from next door about owing $1.00 for a drink. Really! When I received my order, there were no forks , no napkins. And when My Husband called about it, the clerk responded we only get those things by request. Lol. Really... A "to go"order with no utensils or even a napkin! When you order big... We also tip... And are a repeat customer.... U should offer better customer service.

Ordered Spicy Fried Rice. Got horrible non-spicy bland rice. Called and they said “I” am required to advise them of the spicy level. It does not say this anywhere, nor did they ask me, which would have stopped my issue. I called. The man was very inconsiderate. Asked for my name but didn’t listen. Told me he would call back but didn’t ask for number. Also, he did not call back. And on a side note, my Seet and Sour Pork was less than desired. I have had great luck here every other time, but tonight, the service was horrible horrible horrible! So, never again.
