I'm surprised we haven't seen this place before, so I'm assuming it is new. We went here for happy hour and the prices were incredible for the quality of food we got.

The sushi was very fresh and had tons of fish in it. Service was great. We came in when it was quiet and the place filled up soon after 6pm. Everything came out in a timely manner except I think they forgot our edamame order, but they brought it to us later on and didn't charge us for it.

My kid got a miso soup. I was expecting a small container like I'm used to, but this was a large bowl of soup and she was thrilled.

Our favorite roll was by far the seared salmon roll, but honestly there wasn't a single roll we could complain about. The jalapeño poppers were very tasty. I'm not usually a fan but these were very good! Their tempura batter was very crispy. I ordered a salmon handroll and was pleasantly surprised when they brought out 2!

We will definitely be coming back again! I would have taken more pictures but everything was eaten so quickly that there was no time!

I had a great time here after my best friend recommended it to me. I had their miso ramen and it was so flavorful. I had no idea this sushi place was so close to my house, I’m glad I know about their location now. Sushi was really good and fresh, we ordered Las Vegas Roll, Lady in pink roll… the rolls are big they’re not stingy with the portions. Price very affordable and staff was super friendly, we will absolutely be ordering again from here.

Great new find for sushi, wr loved the tuna towers

We had 3 rolls the golden spicy tuna roll and the seared salmon roll was DELICIOUS and FRESH. The Miso Soup was great. The edamame was cooked PERFECTLY and the Dr. Pepper was spot on. The server was great we were greeted immediately and there was plenty of seating options. Highly recommend dining in its worth the visit and that's out of alot of the sushi places out there this one won't disappoint you!

Everything is fresh and made to order. Had the Rangoon, pot stickers and two different sushi rolls. Delicious, all of it. I had the green tea mochi for dessert and the wife went with a second order of the rangoons. Will definitely be back.

Best Jalapeño Poppers on the planet!

Nice Asian-fusion that was close to our stay while in town. Dining room is up to date and clean. Service was perfect and the food is very good. I had the tonkatsu ramen which was filling and delicious. Would visit again!

Great sushi spot! Clean environment, very friendly waitress Ngun was a delight. Sushi was fresh and cold, rangoons with homemade sweet & sour and went on a whim and got the hot green tea. I drank the whole thing!

It's very dark inside. After reading the reviews I am convinced they were getting free meals. "Happy Hour" was on average one dollar below the normal menu price. When we ordered three rolls, a bowl of rice and edamame off of the happy hour menu, the waitress gave us a disapproving look . The bowl of rice looked like it had been scraped from B the bottom of a rice pot that was at least a day old with brown edges on the very dry rice. The edamame was overcooked and mushy. The tuna in one of the rolls was definitely not fresh as it was dark colored and flesh colored mixed together; also it was not served cold. I really try to support local business but after driving an hour to get here I have to say it's among the worst sushi I've ever had.

Overall this place is ok, definitely better places in Phoenix to eat. The Mongolian Beef was meh, chicken dumplings has gristle, but the sushi was pretty good. Probably won’t come back, just not my favorite.

We had heard from an acquaintance that this was a good place to go and for sushi. We went this evening and were pleasantly surprised by the fresh taste of the rolls as well as other sushi items and spring rolls. We will definitely go back again and are looking forward to trying out their weekly lunch specials.

Been here twice. Both times were amazing. Service is great. Food portions are huge. This was the first time I wasn't able to finish both rolls. Our 6 year old loves the miso soup here. Go between 4-6pm and you get their happy hour pricing. Totally worth it.

First time here, cane during happy hour and as pleasantly surprised. Food was excellent!! I had the Rangoon and Shashimi sampler, the shashimi was large and thick and delicious. The Rangoon was so good, almost desert like pastry. We also ordered spicy tuna spicy salmon and avocado rolls. Great service, very friendly and attentive. Restaurant is clean and new decor. We will be back and I recommend it to anyone who loves Sushi

Honestly, I was not impressed with this place. I was visiting in AZ and it was my last day and we wanted a nice meal, we saw they had pretty good reviews but the hot sake was cold, the edamame was mediocre, the wontons were barely stuffed and the teriyaki chicken was dry and not good. The server was nice and attentive. However, I think that him being short staffed (server called out) played a huge part in the type of service we received.

They have delicious rolls and appetizers. I will definitely be back.
Their Tuna nagari is a must as well as their Hornbill specialty roll.

I cannot believe I didn’t take before picturessss. That’s how good it was. Service was absolutely great. Our server was the sweetest and she was super attentive. We sat down almost immediately, ordered and got our food within 15 min. We ordered an appetizer, 2 specialty rolls and an entree. I thought we ordered too much but literally ate every last piece of food. Definitely will be retuning.

Edit: I had a not great experience with a gentleman who answered the phone when I was trying to do a take out order, but after leaving a review talking about it I got a call from the owner saying she would address the problem. She was really nice on the phone and I'm glad the issue was resolved. I look forward to hopefully trying the food some time soon.

Absolutely fantastic. When I look at their ramen it's fully cooked I've been here at least 3 times I'll be going here later today. They've always satisfied my ramen taste buds. The spicy ramen is absolutely delicious.

Really good Tonkotsu Ramen, the broth was delicious as were the noodles, star of the show was the Chashu, going to order next time. So good! Spicy Tuna Roll was good but nothing special, will definitely be back for Ramen.

terrible California rolls. no actual crab meat pieces as advertised more like a gross mush stuffed into a roll. didnt taste fresh. forgot utensils and napkins when i ordered through uber eats so was left improvising with my hands and shirt. poor and uncaring product.

Just went here for the first time last night and can say for sure we will be going back. Great Happy Hour deals, service, and even better food. While many people in the area say Yutaka is the best ramen in North Phoenix, I would say Hornbill is even better. Many other options including amazing rolls, appetizers and bowls. If you're looking for an amazing new restaurant to check out look no further!

My daughter and I were very happy to find good ramen so much closer than Tempe. We shared shoyu ramen and tonkatsu ramen. The bowls were both more than either of us could eat.

Best ramen I’ve ever had. Huge portion, not too salty, noodles perfect texture, chashu pork was flavorful, crispy and fatty. Also best mochi ice cream I’ve ever had. Not too sweet and good strong green tea flavor. Great service. Small local mom and pop business. Will definitely be back.

My friend and I had dinner here tonight and really enjoyed the whole experience. The owner was there and answered questions about the menu. The sushi was absolutely delicious! There is such a great selection that it was challenging to choose just one. They have very good wines! The restaurant is clean, prices are very reasonable, and they provided a chopstick helper to my friend. We will definitely return here!

We came for happy hour and loved it! Great food and great prices!!

There was a 50 minute wait at Yutaka so we came here. No wait and the food was absolutely worth it. The nigiri was tender, the right temperature, and the rice was the perfect texture. Crab Rangoon were delicious though the sauce it came with was a touch too sweet for me. My wife's Spider roll was delicious and my Tonkatsu was 4.5 stars. I loved the broth, the chashu was second to none, and they have the mushrooms I love! I did feel my noodles were a touch overcooked and there were a lot of them. I personally prefer the bouncy egg noodles over the tender slippery noodles here. But the flavor more than makes up for it.

One negative was that for as few customers as were present, the bathroom should have been much cleaner.

This place is awesome and they have delicious food, I got the Golden Spicy Roll (deep fried spicy tuna roll) the Spicy Hamachi roll (cause I love yellowtail) and the Tonkatsu ramen! I normally don't eat this much food, but it was so good I couldn't stop eating, got fuller than I do on Thanksgiving

The food was delicious. We tried the Las Vegas, Hornbill, Flaming roll & California roll. We got 2 different kinds of Ramen, fried rice and Beef teriyaki. Everything was soooo good. The flaming roll came out on fire which all the kids liked to see. We'll definitely be back again.

Hornbill was a pleasant surprise. My wife and I visited on a Friday evening. We were kindly greeted by the server as we entered, and she continued to be attentive to our needs and requests throughout the meal. We had two rolls and the ramen! They were all fresh tasting and filling. The Ramen was a little bland for my preference, but was great with some of their (very spicy) chili oil. The ambience would be recommended for a casual date or dinner group.

We stopped in for dinner tonight noticing the new Asian food restaurant. Very nice, new, modern atmosphere. We just had a bowl of Ramen and two rolls. The food was Great. The Ramen was a surprise. Service was very polite and prompt. Prices are very reasonable as well.

Gave it a try and I will be back for sure. We both got the Poke Bowl and so good. Different from any other Poke I have had.

Don't let the tinted windows fool you! They are open and absolutely amazing. The server was kind and attentive, the food was incredibly fresh and delicious. It's not often you find an affordable sushi spot that doesnt have a fishy aftertaste. Whatever they put in the sauce for dumplings should be bottled. The dumplings themselves were crispy and juicy. I had a great meal here and I'm definitely coming back for more soon!

Food in fantastic, especially their dumplings and kimchi fired rice. Sushi was good (their spicy tuna is delicious) and tasted very fresh. It's a nice place to sit, too. Windows are tinted so it's cool inside even at noon, and it's pretty spacious. Will come again.
